Dogs should not be exposed to this
3/5

A benzophenone-containing product is being offered for sale Oxybenzone, also known as number 3, has been shown to interfere with the human and animal endocrine system and cause The same compound is also found in coral reefs where it could harm them. It would have been nice for me to know this before I purchased the product because it is clearly unsuitable for dogs. I would also not be able to return the item since it is a flammable product. AWESOME! Despite spending $17, it was.

A product I gave my dog made him regarding this sunscreen owing to the fact that my dog loves to sunbathe, and I noticed that her belly was beginning to burn
3/5

I tried applying sunscreen for the first time a few hours later, and she vomited and began suffering from Because I thought that the sunscreen might have been the cause of her illness, I decided not to use it for a couple of weeks. Later today, I gave her the same remedy again, and she again went to the bathroom.

There is not enough information available to determine whether or not the product is safe
3/5

The burns on my dog seem to have been caused by it. A vet recommended I use this product because my dog has a pink/white nose and I wanted to protect it while visiting a town at high altitude About 3/4 of the time I used it on her. She developed a terrible scab on her nose a couple of days later. A chemical burn appears to have occurred. Veterinarian at the vet's office shook her head at me when I took her in. The nose of the patient got very inflamed, so she was put on antibiotics. We have been dealing with this for about 2 weeks and nothing has changed. As the scab falls off, it is slowly being removed. A series of antibiotics has been given to her for seven There was nothing around that was dangerous or had any other medicine within reach. I disposed of the can after being sure she was safe.

There's an allergy in my girl! In any case, my dog ended up being allergic to this sunscreen for dogs
3/5

It was a very unfortunate circumstance that her head ended up with a blood spot because I was trying to prevent sunburn. Irritation was the cause. She's the first dog I've ever had that has some white spots on her, causing concern about There is a pink tinge to her skin and I am at the dog park for a good two hours The average person works 3 hours a day. As a puppy, it's perfectly normal for her to chase after the ball. In order to help with the irritation on her head, around her ears and muzzle, we have an appointment with the Dr. We now have an appointment with the Dr. , which will cost quite a bit. I'm not sure if I should use sunscreen or if a particular ingredient is to blame. I am so bummed about this!.

I am happy to be The back, ears, neck, and thighs of my rescue pup are completely hairless
5/5

The skin on her body is dark grey, but it's still prone to burning. As the sun was drying out her skin, I was afraid of causing acne or dry out her skin with an alcohol-based sunscreen. It sounded interesting, so I gave it a try. The skin on her neck is as beautiful and as You don't get burned at all! Our hiking is taking place a great deal in the sun now that spring is here in the Catskills. Despite it being early in the season, there isn't much shade, so her face is exposed to a lot of sunlight. I applied and reapplied twice on our longest trip (7 hours with a day of camping in between). I can apply it to her since the sound is rather quiet for a spray. She doesn't seem to be thrilled with it, but she will let me try it on If you are going to use it for your face, put it on your hands. Here's an update And I need more! It's been almost two months since I bought the last one! Despite the dog being almost completely hairless (except on rainy days of course), I had to use the spray almost every day. In conclusion, she found it to be an excellent product for her type of skin. Since we started using it, she has not had a sunburn.

The difference between life and death
5/5

Our dalmatian mix's nose and belly burn when exposed to direct sunlight for a few hours. Since we live on the gulf coast and have regular access to the beach and play outside with her, we needed to find something after watching her nose completely scab over after a morning at the beach. Combining this with her putty on her nose, and spraying it on her head, ears, underarms, and belly is our routine. The color pink can be found basically everywhere. As a typical day goes for her, she applies putty and spray first thing in the morning, reapplies both at lunch, and then applies a dog The first time we brought her sunscreen to put on her at her doggy daycare, they thought we were crazy, but a couple of years later she got a burn (not from daycare) that took 4 months to heal, and they began to freak out about applying her sunscreen. While at daycare, I have to go to the bathroom three times per day. Even though the spray is pricey, I like knowing it's FDA approved, and it smells like vanilla when sprayed, which makes it easier to spray on them if you're fighting to do so.

There are toxic ingredients in at least one product! There is no safe level of benzophenone for dogs or humans
3/5

By doing so, FDA has confirmed that it is safe and effective for human use, not When I realized it was causing an allergic reaction in my rescue, I used it just a few times. I discovered benzophenone is bad for your fur baby in my research to find a replacement. Do you find it hard to believe veterinarians still recommend.

I really like the smell! I don't want to stick to it!
5/5

because of his love of the sun, little Joey is always out in the Since he began using this stuff, he has yet to develop a sunburn or tan in this Texas sun. The spray does not appeal to him, as he does not enjoy any sort of grooming (the vet cannot clip his nails, either). It is easy to apply the spray to his belly while he is squirming in my arms thanks to the spray! It is honestly unclear to me why he has a problem with the document I love that spray because it's very quiet. It could be that he doesn't like the way he smells! (I think this stuff smells better than human sunscreen! In this case, I only applied it to his belly and ears, where he's bald, and used soap to wash his hands afterward. It doesn't leave any sticky residue as long as you wash your hands afterwards (I hope you already do this). I also notice that my dog licks his belly and wee Despite peeing a lot, he does not lick this sunscreen off, which is awesome, as it may even prevent him from licking himself. Excellent product all the way around!.
