I use the Detangling Spray and haven't noticed any build-up or residue, though I do use it only when necessary. Crown Royale Conditioning Spray is another product that I use. I use the latter on a more regular basis, though not daily, and have yet to notice any build-up or residue.
Flowers.
I wouldn't use it on puppies under the age of 8 weeks who haven't been weaned, but I don't see why it shouldn't be used on older puppies.

Throughout the years, I've experimented with dozens of detanglers. This one turned out to be my favorite; I started with the smaller 16oz bottle and quickly finished it. I'm now using the gallon bottle and have no regrets other than the fact that it's ready to use rather than concentrated. br>br>This is the most effective detangler I've ever used. I enjoy the scent, but even more so, I enjoy how well it functions. I've used it on various coat types with similar results, spraying it on tangles and mats and using a slicker brush to break up the mats and dissolve the tangles. Things to keep in mind: br>br> Spray it on, massage it in well with your hands (really work it down into the coat/mat), and set it aside for a few minutes while you finish up the rest of the grooming. Detanglers don't work by spraying them on and then combing them out. Allow it to dry for a few minutes before breaking it apart with a slicker brush in various directions. br>br>IT REALLY WORKS! I'm not sure why people are complaining about the odor. It does have a more masculine scent, but it fades quickly (and I like it anyway). I don't buy a detangler for the scent; I buy it to get the job done, which it does admirably.
This is an excellent product. I work as a dog groomer, and some of my clients bring in mats that are difficult to remove. I'm notorious for underestimating my abilities. Promise to go above and beyond, and make every effort to do so. If I find a tight mat, I inform the pet parent that it may need to be shaved. I can work out the kinks and save the coat in a reasonable amount of time with this spray, and I can brush out the majority of it without causing the dog any pain. I'll be purchasing more of this spray in the near future!.
I saw this being used by a groomer on YouTube and had to give it a try. Yes, it does exactly what she says; the smell is fantastic and it speeds up my grooming. I would strongly advise anyone with a medium to long-haired dog to use this product. It's also suitable for in-home use. on dry hair in between baths Thanks.
This is the best detangler/dematter I've ever tried in my six years as a professional groomer. For all breeds, I strongly advise using this product.
Between haircuts, his hair grows a little longer and requires weekly combing. When I use this spray to detangle my hair, it works well, and the comb glides through it easily. br>br>Review is now up to date: The smell is very strong, which is one of my two criticisms. I don't need the scent to cover up dog odor because I give my dog a bath about once a week. It would be better to use a product that isn't as fragrant. br>br>The other issue is that whenever my dog lays on wood or tile floors, they become extremely slick, posing a serious safety hazard; the instructions don't mention this, but it's enough of a concern that I stopped using the product because nearly all of our floors are wood or tile.
My golden doodle, Theo, is a miniature version of myself. He has long hair, which he must brush and detangle on a regular basis in order to keep it healthy, secure, and comfortable. br>br>Our groomer uses this product and recommended it to me, and I am very pleased with it! It's simple to use, smells great, and aids in the removal of any knots that form so I don't have to tug at them for the poor dog. If you have these beautiful, luscious locks like Theo, brushing daily is highly recommended.
Brushing before the bath is a good idea. out, as well as a fantastic spray mist bottle It looks good on mats, in my opinion. I'll use it as a prebath brush out, but the strong chemical smell made both of my malteses uncomfortable. Because of the smell and the residue, I would not recommend it as a leave-on product again. br>The fine spray mist bottle was one of my favorites. Many sprayers cause the hair to become too wet, but this one is fantastic. My dogs despise the spray sound, and this is the quietest and most effective spray bottle I've ever owned, so I'm keeping it and will use it for other brushing sprays with a softer scent. Brush out your hair once more before going into the bath.
This product works well on my Shih Tzu's hair, which I prefer to keep long and natural. This product detangles her hair while also protecting it from damage. I groom her every day, and lightly spraying this on her, especially where she gets tangles, makes my life and that of my dog a lot easier. This is a product that I would recommend to anyone with a long-haired dog. It also assists in halving the amount of time spent grooming.
