It has taken me a long time to calm down, but now I'm well-rested (rescued) well-behaved Yorkies that I adore! Regardless of how hard they are to train, Yorkies are hard to own. They are extremely high energy, and have high anxiety levels because they were not socialized early on. All of my efforts have been unsuccessful. There has never been a time when I did need to use the high setting, and I would recommend it only if another dog is aggressive or unsafe. I do not have to issue the command and hand gesture anymore after a few practice sessions. They sit and stay just by following my commands. Our remodel was happening at the same time as contractors, so they maintained silence and listened to our instructions. What a great idea! The love, obedience, and happiness my Yorkies have brought me has been greatly appreciated!.
