Easy walks are possible thanks to the 8 ft length. This method gives the dog a chance to check out the smells without me having to follow him. Our senior Ridgeback enjoys using this leash because retractable leashes have constant pressure on her neck and we want to go for easy walks with her without having to worry about her tangles. The next time I purchase, I will definitely do so.
