In the past few years, I was almost paralyzed on the right side due to a car accident. I am right handed, and I have two 90+lbs dogs. When I walk my pit bulls, they sometimes see other animals and they jolt after them and I would get my arm, shoulder and neck caught in their jaws. Now that I have this awesome leash, my life is going to be saved! It's hardly pulling at all! Despite my wishes, I do wish it wasn't necessary to use bungee "connections" I wish it were all on one leash, so the bulky part would not However, with how great the product really is, I could really care less if the middle part is sometimes a bit heavy and clunky. We are very happy with our purchase of this leash! It is my understanding that the company emailed me after I received the package and asked how everything was working out for me. Basically, it all comes down to this. It's amazing how good they are. I can't say enough good things about our customer service. Consider buying it if you are thinking about doing so. This is an investment you will not regret.
Certainly works for my 60 lb white pitty/American bulldog mix who is a beast of a puller. By doing this, you can walk him without experiencing sudden jerks and you can go much farther. The original purpose for getting it was to prevent him from pulling me down steep slopes, but I have not yet tried out it out on trails. Due to the thicker rope being easier for him to grab and because he has broken thin ones in the past, I attached the bungee to my own leash that is about 4 ft long and thicker than the one that came with it. It has a short handle and is extremely useful. My dog's collar is at the right height for my hands to grab and is useful when I need to pull him close to avoid other dogs or people. There is only one downside - the bungee is heavy, so dogs under 50 or 60 pounds might not be able to use it.
In a nutshell, The retractable leash we had for our dog was broken by its teeth. My favorite part is that Athena helps with pulling the bungee off when she tries to take it off. like that there are two options to choose from with the leash, for how far or close you want to walk your dog. We strongly recommend it if your dog is medium or larger in size.
It is an awesome buy for the price. It's best to use a leash with a When we walk my young boxer (55 lbs), she likes to try to catch squirrels aka "God's tennis balls" from the ground. When combined with a morning workout, you've got a powerful combination She is corrected by the gale collar while my shoulder is saved. A large part of the sudden jerk of the jump is absorbed by the bungee. The longer handle makes it an excellent leash for walking and the short grip makes it the perfect control leash for keeping the puppy close whenever I want him. Also last year, I bought another leash with a bungee as part of it. It cost $30 to purchase one leash. There is a 50% savings on this leash compared to the other. In addition, it is constructed considerably better than the previous leash. Despite my good intentions, I expect to need to replace this leash in a few years' time. It is obvious that when I need another one of these, I will be getting another. It is hard to say enough good things about this leash. I highly recommend it.
Since I bought it, I've only used it for a couple weeks, but I already enjoy There is no damage to it from the occasional chewing by my dog. It is nice that there is a bungee function to use when relocating my dog from something or someone. My dog doesn't feel as harsh or choked when pulling away from something/someone. I was able to find a leash with a degree of reflectiveness to the lower portion, but I wouldn't call it super reflective. That doesn't change the meaning of the function or quality of the product in any way. I was a little worried about the leash being two pieces, but I am finding that I appreciate that it is so well made. I can tie my dog up anywhere as long as I can reach a bench or pole whenever I need to run into a building to drop off a package or grab some takeout.
She appears to be a mix between a Pit Bull and a Jack Russell. It's difficult to walk this dog because she pulls on me so hard. I've been trying to leash her for about 7 months now, when she was 18 months old. It is important that she be trained. As soon as she pulls, I stop and wait for her to sit. A few steps later, she started to pull Dogs seem to have a compulsion to tug until they choke themselves and then they keep doing so! Training my lab was easier than any other lab I've ever had. This appears to be a very well made lead that can be used in conjunction with the Yuppie Puppy Anti-chafe collar It involves a harness that pulls. I am in awe of these The bungee leash automatically pulls her back every time she pulls forward (by the chest instead of her The Yuppie Puppy harness must have been designed with this in mind). In fact, she barely even tried to pull during the first half of her first walk with these. As she did so, she was pulled back by this combo and stood still. Although she did still pull when she saw a rabbit, she helped to determine where it was pulling from - You must stop. Draw a pullstring A stop rather than a constant tug would be better. My guess is that within a few more walks she will not pull so much. It has been a good purchase for me, and I recommend it without hesitation. We will finally enjoy our walks with our new dog more now that we have this.
During the course of the year, my PETCO leash came apart in places where the leather was wrapped and the stitching started pulling Fortunately, my dog wouldn't run too far, but that's not what I had in mind when I paid for him. I need to show my pup how to walk on a leash properly. My dog's leash matched the harness I got along with it, so I ended up buying both. My dogs (another full blood husky) and I went for a walk the day after I got this leash, and I found it to be the best leash and harness combination I have used so far. I found my pup would barely pull even after walking for a half a mile or so (RUFFWEAR harness). This leash is a lot more durable than what I was able to find at PETCO (and overpaid for) but the small elastic piece makes such a big difference in my dog's reactions to it. In the near future, I will probably buy a few more of these to keep on the road, as well as for my other dog. I love this company, they ship fast, and the product I ordered was exactly as I expected.
