However, I was pleasantly surprised to find only one spot on my hardwood floors. When the product arrived I was surprised by its simplicity and ease of use. Just unscrew the bottom and place 4 AA batteries inside. There is also a set of protective goggles included. When I put on the goggles, turned on the detector (it had to be dark) and started walking around the house, checking for stains, I put on my safety goggles. My investigation however only turned up two spots right away I thought either this apparatus could not detect dried urine as stated in the description or the UV light wasn't strong enough to reveal a lot more stains in the house, as I thought I should have seen a lot more. However, shortly before we got the light we disposed of a large Stainmaster area rug the puppy peed on quite a few times, but did not contact our hardwood because of the backing of the rug. But then I continued to check out the rest of the house, and oh my gosh, I was completely shocked when I looked into the bathroom. There was a lot of disgust in what I saw. The right hand side of the road had to be stopped. Whether it was an air freshener spray, a water stain or actual urine, whatever the case may be, it shows all the things that are not visible Then I cleaned the bedding. I tried shining the cloth on a blanket that I had just washed and the soap residue was still there! I find it has been a great benefit for someone like myself who has extremely sensitive skin. With the detector, I will check clothes and bedding to ensure that there is no soap left behind! A detector I have is an obsession of mine. I walk around the house checking everything. It does everything that it claims to do in the description and then some. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent urine detector! There are cheaper urine decoders, but this one comes with goggles and has 100 UV rays, so it's worth the extra money. think the strength of UV rays have a great deal of influence on the outcome. When I originally bought this I wanted to figure out why my cat was suddenly going a bit crazy. While it did certainly help me resolve that problem, the fact that it talked to my kids about the value of cleaning was also AWESOME. My 11 and 14 year old keep telling me they did a good enough job cleaning the bathroom--but I'm not sure they understand what they really mean Well, I gave them this light and told them to go up there and look around for a little while. Mothers were so satisfied to hear the sounds their toothbrushes made, especially the ones they made with their water. Both children have done a fantastic job keeping my house clean. Since then, we have never argued over the quality of their work. My only regret is that I did not come up with this idea.

It has turned out to be more expensive than the original price of the flashlight because I spend more than the initial cost. well, I decided to tear out the carpet and replace it with laminate flooring. This light allowed me to find cat pee and apparently vomit with ease. A set of AA batteries will need to be purchased or provided by you. Batteries from the dollar store that are rated for low drain worked without any problems. All in all, the flashlight feels solid and well built. Although I feel it won't break if you drop it or accidentally bump it against a chair leg while hunting for stains, I am not sure. A very dirty brown carpet obscures everything and makes it hard for me to see anything clearly. Due to the pattern and color of the light, I was worried it would not work, but it did! I was able to accomplish my goal. The spot that I was looking for was easily found. In order to pick out the peeing spots, I started at the site where I knew it had been peeing. Sadly, my poor girl vomited where this picture was taken. Despite its dim lighting, the stain can be seen by the naked eye, but only on camera can it be seen well enough. In addition, she had to clean that spot twice after she puked. It is gross. Despite my best efforts, I wasn't able to capture a photo of the pee spots with my camera, as they looked I can see them if I know what I'm looking for, but I have a very cheap phone and I am not very good at seeing them. There's just something about these flashlights that makes them not very good for cat stains, about which most people warn you.

In her last month, when she was 20 years old, my cat had trouble making it into her little box and went to a nearby place to relieve herself. It may be better to have a larger image to better show the areas. The results of using this one were little more than what I expected, but I was stunned by their profundity. Every single spot was revealed, along with areas where my cleaning was just spreading the bacteria. When I tried it on the bathroom toilet, I was horrified since I clean it every day, but it revealed the places where I was not cleaning appropriately. I was hesitant to try another from a different company since the first did not work (it wasn't from this company). Fortunately, it actually works! I am glad I did it! I discovered not only that we have a lot of animal pee in the house, but also that I haven't cleaned our bathroom properly. I am amazed at how cool this is! This is a great product! you must wear the glasses because without them it will not work. In other words, they won't let you see it.

I bought this UV black light to identify dog urine in the home on carpets. Also used after surgery when the expectation of being able to go to the bathroom on time was not met. The light failed to identify either human or canine urine. This is a great disappointment in this product. It seems well made, with a metal body and lots of lights, but never worked as advertised or expected.
