The fact that it has three modes is definitely something I like. I would say that the UV is quite bright, and that the strobe is effective. It is definitely worth the price in my opinion. If I had one complaint, it would be to suggest using an 18650 battery instead of a triple A battery. It seems that when using the triple A batteries the brightness of the flashlight flickers. I am not sure if it is due to the adapter or the pins, but it does not seem to sit as securely as it does with an 18650.
