Questions & Answers

What is the best way to dispose of used syringes?

Syringes that have been used should be discarded properly as medical waste. For prooer disposal, you can take them to most vet clinics, drug stores, and hospitals.

Are these syringes the same as the ones that come with the prozinc diabetic care kit?

Yes, this kit came with U40 syringes, which were provided by my veterinarian. container of some sort You can also use u100 syringes, but you'll need to adjust your calibration. Check out the Feline Diabetes Message Board if your cat is diabetic. They've saved my life!

Why can't u40 use this? **Not to be used in conjunction with u- **40 units of insulin ?

u40 insulins like PZI are 40% insulin in diluted form and require a much larger syringe. U100 insulins like lantus (glargine) are 100% insulins that use the smaller u100 syringe. It's best not to wing it when it comes to recalculating the dosage for use in a syringe that wasn't designed for it, but you can do it if you really want to. as long as you're certain you've done everything correctly with the conversion. Again, my advice is to be cautious and use the proper syringes for the insulin being used.

Do you need to get permission from your veterinarian before ordering from you?

I didn't need permission from the veterinarian; I simply placed an order. On chewy, however, I found them to be less expensive. They do contact your veterinarian there, and it isn't an issue.

Ideal
5/5

It took a long time for me to find a trustworthy U-Haul. For my little guy, I got 100 ultra fine syringes. These are ideal — they're both self-contained and self-contained. My cantankerous old man doesn't even notice the needle (as long as there's a treat in front of his face) because it's contained sharps disposal and easy to handle. I've had these for almost a year and can't say enough good things about them. Because they carry the same brand, it saves me the 20-mile drive to my veterinarian, and many fire departments, hospitals, and police stations will accept sharps containers for disposal. They are also accepted for free at our local dump, where I live.

My best friend owes her longer life to you, and the size is ideal for my small child
5/5

My 17-year-old cat requires twice-daily insulin. These are the ideal size because human syringes are designed to hold a lot more medication. As a result, the unit marks on human syringes are extremely small and closely spaced. The unit marks are farther apart and easier to see on this product because it is designed for smaller doses. You are responsible for my best friend's longer life.

It's a lot less expensive than visiting a veterinarian
5/5

My diabetic cat requires twice-daily insulin injections. This is the one to use if you need to pierce the neck of a 12-year-old Tom cat. The lance is extremely thin, allowing it to easily penetrate his skin and provide the most comfort possible in terms of needles. The dose amounts are clearly marked. The best part is that the price per needle is half of what I'd pay at the vet's office.

Excellent value for money and a fantastic product! These were about half the cost of a box from the vet, and having a sharps container to store the syringes was an added bonus
5/5

The plunger moves slowly enough to gauge the dose and quickly enough to administer a dose to a wriggler, and the barrel is about as sturdy as you can get with such a small syringe. The needle is long enough to perform a subcutaneous injection on a thick-furred beast, but short enough to avoid feeling like you're performing a medieval procedure. br>br>The only problem is that they don't mark in half units, and my cat uses half a unit for each dose, so you'll need a good eye. Given that the difference between a full unit and a half-unit is so small - a hair's breadth's width's width's width's width's width's width's It's fine to eyeball it, according to my vet. Nonetheless, before purchasing, I recommend checking with your veterinarian to see if your pet is allergic to the unit 1/2 dose.

It's simple to do and will give you a "fur shot
5/5

" Regarding the longer needle length, I concur with the previous reviewer. It was also simpler to bend the shorter needles. One suggestion is this: Make sure the needle does not pierce both sides of the skin when pinching the skin to form a "tent. " It's simple to do and will give you a "fur shot. " In addition, the needles appear to be sharper. When I give my daughter insulin, she does not flinch. Please keep in mind that these needles only measure full units, but it's simple to estimate 0. 5 units. The disposal container that comes with the unit is a nice touch. Separate units are not expensive, but in my area, they are difficult to come by without pre-paid postage. The used needles are kindly disposed of by my veterinarian. (On Rainbow in Las Vegas, cheers for Gentle Doctor. ).

It is both convenient and safe
5/5

This item stores all of my cat's insulin injection supplies in one convenient location. This is especially important to me when my insulin is administered by a pet sitter. Regardless of whether the syringes are clean or dirty, they stay in the container. However, they are kept apart. I can easily and safely dispose of the used syringe once the injection has been given. The 3 cc syringes make accurately measuring the small amount of insulin I need for my cat a breeze. The only syringes available at the pharmacy where I get my insulin were 10 cc syringes, which were impossible to use accurately. All of this convenience and safety are especially important to me when my insulin is administered by a pet sitter.

Excellent product; these are the same syringes that my veterinarian uses, which is why I bought them
5/5

I am very concerned about getting the correct insulin dosage for my 16-year-old cat. This product makes it easy to get the dosage right. br>br>P. My review was turned down by Amazon! My veterinarian did not recommend this product; instead, he provided me with a sample so that I would know what to look for in terms of size, etc. If you are unable to use my review because I mentioned my veterinarian, please delete that section; however, I felt it was necessary to state that to you.

The ease with which needles can be used and discarded
5/5

It is extremely simple to operate. Because our dog has diabetes, our veterinarian recommended these to us. Every day, he or she must take two doses of insulin. Our dog is so used to injections that he doesn't even notice the slight discomfort. The needles are extremely thin, making it very easy to draw up insulin. The container has a built-in needle disposal system, which is very convenient; once we've used all of the needles, I take the used container to my veterinarian, who disposes of it properly. Excellent value for money, with quick delivery. I would strongly suggest it.
