Questions & Answers

What is the difference between this product and Apoquel 16 mg?

Apoquel had been prescribed to our 115-pound lab for over two years. He had been on steroids and antibiotics for skin infections on a regular basis prior to the Apoquel because of severe environmental allergies. In just over a month, he was completely free of Apoquel thanks to these bites. br>Keep in mind- These bites aren't just covering up a problem; they're actually treating and preventing it from the inside out. br>As a result, it may take some time, and you may need to taper your Apoquel dosage. But, in my opinion, it's worth a shot! br>These bites have been a blessing in our lives!

What exactly are the hair/plastic strands embedded in the bites mentioned in some of the product reviews?

"Lamb meal is used to make the fiber hairs. Because meat is fibrous, when we use proteins in our products, they frequently have a stringy texture. They have a similar appearance to them. " As mentioned in the following comment, this is from the company. I'm hoping that the company doesn't change the formula because it works so well for my dog. She is relieved at long last. I trust that their recipe does not contain any hairs or plastic, and I recommend it to anyone who has an itchy or allergic dog. Take a look at it and see what you think.

Is there any chicken in this recipe?

Hi there! For our Aller-Gel, we've come up with a new formula. There is no chicken in Immune Bites (lamb flavor). If you want to know exactly what your dog is getting in these chews, look at the list of ingredients on the label in the pictures in the listing.

Be patient; it took about 2 1/2 weeks for me to notice a difference
5/5

My dogs are a chiweenie (chihuahua/dachshund mix) and a lab/boxer/pitt mix. My lab mix was itching a lot, mostly on her paws, due to a mild allergy. Since the fall, my chiweenie has been extremely itchy all over. During seasonal allergy peaks, he has always been an itchy dog, but benadryl or hydroxyzine have usually helped. Not this time. br>br>After a vet visit, we discovered Apoquel (sp?). The treatment he required for the greatest amount of relief cost around $150 per month. We paid around $80 for a half-dose, including vet visits and testing. He was better, but not quite as good as we had hoped. We couldn't afford the full dose of Apoquel on a monthly basis, and the half-dose was only marginally effective, but we could notice a difference. As a result, I began looking for options. My lab benefited from Burt's Bees conditioning spray, but my chi did not. I used Pet Solutions shampoo and saw only a few hours of relief after using Paul Mitchell dog conditioning treatment (no significant difference on either dog). br>br>I came across these while looking for more solutions, and the reviews convinced me. I couldn't wait to give it a shot with my pets. They were enamored with the flavor and were willing to perform their tricks for them. I hadn't noticed any significant changes in my little chiweenie after two and a half weeks. I was so depressed that I believed this would be the winner and a lifesaver for all of us. After reading some more time-related reviews, I told my husband that I thought we should wait a little longer, so we did. Our dog is 95% better with itching, gnawing at his skin, and rough scratching by the third week of his life. I truly believe these are miracles for my dogs; the only drawback is the price, which I wish was a little lower given that I have to buy it on a monthly basis for my two dogs. However, it is a bargain compared to the cost of apoquel and visits to the veterinarian. br>br>I feel compelled to add to this review because I've moved on to cheaper products (most recently Prime Day deals) in an attempt to provide relief for both my dog and my wallet. I'm back to place an order for this. It appears to be the only thing that makes my chiweenie feel better. The other brands don't bother my lab mix. I just wish they wouldn't keep raising the price on this product; shouldn't we be able to keep a useful product at a reasonable price? Zesty Paws is clearly gaining popularity and selling more. Why do you feel the need to raise your prices? Ah, I suppose that's the American way of doing things, but we'll keep doing what's best for our pets, and this is by far the best. Warm greetings to all the pets and their devoted owners.

My dog doesn't have to live in a hypoallergenic bubble any longer
5/5

No, he doesn't live in a bubble, but he's almost five years old and I'm not sure how he's managed to live this long with allergies to everything: Wheat, corn, pollen, grass, sunlight, clean air, and so on. But we've tried a lot of different things to make him feel more at ease, socialize, and eat. My vet prescribed Apoquel to help with itching, but after reading about how bad it is for dogs in the long run online, I decided to look for a healthier alternative. After much research, I discovered these, and BOY are they life changing! He looks and acts like a brand new, healthy boy! He takes his "multivitamins" every morning, and because they are tasty, he considers them a treat. Because he isn't scratching as much, his coat is becoming softer and thicker. His inner thighs are completely hairless, and prior to taking the multivitamins, he had a constant rash that kept him from doing much outside, but it's now completely clear of any bumps or redness, and he's the happiest, healthiest boy! I can't express how much these allergy immune bites have helped, and no, this isn't a paid advertisement (though email me if you want a dog model). To be honest, these are a healthy alternative to Apoquel and we have 100% success with it and will be lifelong customers (or spokespersons- Please contact me once more via email.

They are effective
5/5

Absolutely fantastic! These photos speak for themselves, but they were taken less than a month after I began giving my dog the Allergy Immune Bites. He was in excruciating pain, but after only a week of daily doses, he showed a significant reduction in chewing, licking, and scratching, and things have only gotten better since then. He enjoys his daily treat, and all I can say is that we are ecstatic that they actually work without the use of harsh chemicals or causing negative side effects.

Bichon is no longer itchy
5/5

My Bichon Frise suffers from a variety of allergies. We tried a variety of treatments, including allergy testing, dietary changes, allergy shampoo, Benadryl, shots, and a variety of other things, but none of them yielded significant results. Even after all of this, she'd be up all night licking and scratching herself until she bled. Her scratching has all but stopped since we got these, and she has also stopped licking her paws. We switched to the other flavors after she stopped eating the peanut butter ones. We cut them up and sprinkle them on her food to keep her on them because they work so well. This is the only thing we've found that works for our little one.

Allergies are a major issue for my dog
5/5

I gave these a shot. If you're looking for a mastiff, you've come to the right place mix of bulldogs: br>Allergies are a major issue for my dog. These were tried and found to be extremely beneficial! These aren't enough to keep things under control for my dog. I buy pumpkin in cans because it seems to be a must-have for his allergies. He also responds well to coconut oil, and when he's in bad shape, I'll give him CBD oil. We usually go to the vet with a $200 bill and a bottle of steroids once he's been bright red for a few days and his fur has started to fall out. However, as soon as I added this to his regimen, he was back to normal in a matter of days! He's fishing for whitefish. based food (apparently, this is a common occurrence for any pit-based food) Bulldogs are bred to eat only whitefish and not grains. I also feed him a lot of carrots and white beans (dark beans cause him to react). ) Although all of these things have helped him, he was still in bad shape until I added these allergy bites. He's doing fine now, despite everything. I hope this information is useful to someone else. Regarding your dog's allergies, best of luck!.
