Questions & Answers

A scoop of powdered Renal K should be taken with what would be the equivalent dose?

You have a great question. Thank you for asking. You can count on me to help you if you need it! Renal K Gel needs to be taken with half teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight. Renal K Powder needs 1 scoop per 10 pounds of body weight, whereas Renal K Powder needs 1 scoop per 10 pounds It is my hope that this will help. I wish you the best, Allison From Shamus Pet Supplies *br>Kind Regards, Allison

Can you tell me if the cap has a foil seal under it?

In order to prevent the package from being opened or tampered with, a foil seal is included. The heart disease that my cat (HCM) has is treated with this supplement. The product has been taken daily for the past four years by the patient. The cardiologist saw her very recently and she had a very good experience. She will be 18 in August, so I feel like I am doing everything I can to help her live a longer, happier life.

What is the best way to get Renal K+ out of your pet's You just can't get rid of it! ?

There is no way out of it. My technique is just to get really wet washcloths and just keep working on it until it comes In order to prevent getting the gel on their fur, I put it on my finger and rub it on the roof of their mouth instead of their tongue and that seems to keep most of it inside their mouth even before we apply it.

The amount of calories in half a teaspoon of this gel is how many?

This was not on the tube that I looked at. It was also nowhere to be found on their website. It might be best to inquire through the company's website. It's my fault.

I really like this product

A kidney failure diagnosis was made for my cat. It had become too cold for her to drink or eat. A dehydration problem and two pounds of weight loss led to her dehydration. I've been using the following products, and my client is on the mend. Having finished her drink (weirdly, she drinks only from a drinking glass I keep filled) and eating again, she is drinking Despite her weight gain, she is standing strong. When your dog is on a diuretic and is losing potassium, this is the best stuff you can give! Unfortunately, I am writing this review with a heavy heart because we had to put down our 14 year old pet, as her heart condition eventually won the battle and I was unable to use the two After I gave them to a friend whose dog had the same condition as Cookie, she ended up keeping them
5/5

A small amount of fluid was present in her lungs and heart. Lasix depletes potassium, which is why she is taking it. This product was recommended to me by a vet cardiologist, and the difference in her energy level was astounding! It was a pleasant surprise to me. When your pet is on a diuretic like Lasix, this is really good stuff for him. The following review is dedicated to Cookie, who passed away last year.

The tubes in L- have whatever flavors they put in them You can find lysine in many foods
5/5

This is amazing! I found out at the end of July that my 17 year old cat had renal failure. As a result, she spent the month of August stumbling around and dragging her head along the ground because her vet wanted to simply increase her potassium levels through In the past month, I stopped doing that because it seemed to not be working, and my veterinarian suggested trying potassium supplements. It took only three days for her to start holding her head up Several weeks after she had her accident, she was able to sit up and walk. The maple flavor gets her attention, but she licks up the food anyway. It sometimes takes some coaxing to get her to do things. It would be nice to have another flavor, such as whatever they give you in the tubes when you buy it That is her favorite (it is her favourite). Despite that, she gets a second chance, so it gets a five! I received the tube quickly, and it was in good condition. My cat passed away on October 31 (Edit). However, not the kidney failure, but a stroke caused his death. It was still easy for her to eat the gel until she had the stroke. I was able to get it to work. Walking and climbing up and down a small set of stairs was within her abilities.

Her kidney damage has made her life unpleasant, but the nutrients in gel form have greatly enhanced her quality of life
5/5

In the near past, she has gained some weight with the help of this product and appears to be living the same quality of life as before she was diagnosed. Despite the fact that she uses IV fluids many times a week, I have to say this product has really made all the difference in her comfort and general well-being. It is. There are a lot of people who might just have just discovered that their pet is sick. Please know that you are not alone in this. You will get used to it eventually. My kitty has not been cured by this product, but she has been able to add a few years to her life with the nutrients in the gel form. I wish you the best of luck on your journey with your beloved pet. There's no one that can compare to you when it comes to caring for pets.

I've never seen anything like it
5/5

Kitty was in renal failure when I brought her home from the vet. The day before, he wanted to put an end to her life. It was evident that her kidneys did not function. 'If she lasted a week, she wouldn't last long. ' he said. She was brought to me so I could comfort her and spend her last days with Besides losing strength in her hands and feet, she lost strength in her back legs as well, which is During my research into renal failure in cats, potassium supplements were found to be helpful. As soon as I saw this, I ordered it. With this supplement as well as a renal pill supplement, her condition began to improve the next day. Now that it has been a month, I'm getting restless. 70% of who she used to be is still in her. As for her old self, she looks and acts like her old self. She eats, drinks, talks to me, has her legs back and is like a sprite. Although I may not have her before the end of her expected life, today is another day she is alive instead of the day she was expected.

I think you did a pretty good job
3/5

If I were not having to give this twice a day, every single day for years now, I wouldn't even mention these three facts I. *. This product is difficult to use with a syringe, something that could be necessary when your cat will not accept meds or even food on his own. 3.
This product easily clogs the little opening of the cap, which is 1.
2. This product is Significantly cheaper elsewhere (I'm sorry amazon, you're most of the time good, but this one is Significantly less expensive elsewhere). If your cat accepts the powder version, it will be much cheaper (at other places as well), but most cats will Your cat may need potassium if he is sick so be sure to give him as instructed by the vet I am only concerned with secondary issues. My best wishes to you for success and good luck are with you. The one I have now is 18 and ill, but still has as many good days as bad days, and this product really does help, he is still "hanging in there" as they say.

You've got some great information here
5/5

The stuff is worth its weight in gold if you have an older cat showing signs of renal failure and can't afford prescription drugs. It now has been over five years since my oldest cat reached stage two kidney failure. Having seen a number of cats die, I am very familiar with their end of life situations.

I was able to recover my cat after he had become very sick and was able to eat this cat food
5/5

The potassium level in his body was very low- I am unsure how to explain this. We were sent home with this product by the vet to use as a Since we were concerned he would get his medicine, we gave it to him by syringe whenever he was sick. There is an easy suckup to this paste. Despite the fact that he seems to be improving, we still give him potassium supplements to guard against the possibility of him getting low His new habit is to just lick off the knob of the syringe- Despite being a vegetarian, he loves the taste! He takes it with no problems and sits at the counter waiting for it every day! I like the product, the shipping is fast, and the price is great!.
