Questions & Answers

Where do these come from?

"Manufactured in the United States with imported and domestic ingredients," according to the package. " I use them because my cats and dog seem to like them.

Is this something that can help with a lot of meowing?

That's true for my cat. It essentially reduces her jitteriness: Without making her sleepy, she meows, is skittish, claws delicate human flesh, and so on. It comes in handy when I need to trim my nails, visit the veterinarian, or travel. She enjoys the flavor as well.

How long does it take for you to feel more relaxed?

I have no idea. I'd say 6 to 8 hours, possibly more. After a few hours, you can give one or two more if necessary. During a thunderstorm with lightning and thunder, these really helped my Golden Retriever relax.

Citric and propionic acids aren't entirely safe for dogs, according to what I've read. What makes these ingredients inactive?

Citric acid is a naturally occurring acid found in citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, and berries. It has no negative effects on humans or animals. br>Propionic acid is a short-chain fatty acid produced naturally by bacteria when they ferment sugars like glucose. Dairy products, breads, processed meats, eggs, and fat-based desserts all contain it naturally. Propionic acid, which is naturally found in sweat glands and the intestine, inhibits mold and bacteria growth and is used as a preservative in baked goods, animal feed, and grain, according to the Encyclopedia of Microbiology (third edition, 2009). Propionic acid is generally regarded as safe by the US Food and Drug Administration and has shown only minor toxicity in humans and other organisms, according to the Encyclopedia of Toxicology (3rd edition, 2014).

In multi-cat households, this is an excellent way to relieve stress and anxiety
5/5

We have two cats: one is a female and the other is a male. One is fifteen years old, while the other is only six years old. Our older cat has been anxious and skittish since she was a kitten, but she was also an outdoor cat when she lived at my parents' house and was able to manage her anxiety in a natural setting. I took her with me when I moved away, and she had to become an indoor cat. Her anxiety was at an all-time high, and no amount of effort or trickery seemed to help. Nothing worked, including a more natural diet and food, more toys and interaction, pheromone sprays, separating the cats, and changing the litter. br>br>As they got older, out you get cat began to feed off of our older cat's anxiety and became aggressive, and while it wasn't to the point of needing to rehome him, it only increased stress levels and caused all kinds of issues, such as peeing outside the litter box, spraying issues, fighting over food, and so on. br>br>I finally found these treats and decided to give them a try. I'd tried everything else and figured that if this didn't work, I'd go back to the vet and see what else I could do. br>br>I gave them each a treat with their dinner and watched them for a few days to see how they reacted. There wasn't much that happened, though my younger cat seemed to relax a little at first. Overall, the treats did not work right away, but I persevered. I reasoned that it might be more of a cumulative effect, and I was correct. I bought the treats in December, and now it's February, and what a difference! br>br>My older cat no longer spends the day hiding in a second-floor corner - Instead, she sleeps up there in the mornings and returns in the afternoons to spend time with her family. She would slink around the room's edges to get to the kitchen for her food, and she wouldn't eat until my younger cat had left. She now begs for treats, lounges in the sun, and engages in toy play (which she had never done before!). ), and will even snuggle up next to my younger cat on the couch to spend time with me. Even the younger one has stopped chasing her. All he does now is sniff her buttocks or ears before moving on to find a new hangout spot. The transformation is remarkable, as is the reduction in stress. Peeing has come to a complete halt! br>br>To cut a long story short, this stuff is worth it, especially if you have cat tension or stress issues; we didn't realize how much anxiety my older cat had until we started using these. I can't say enough about how much I like these!.

It's something I couldn't live without
5/5

I have several rescues, and they all have a set nap time each day, so these are great for calming them down before they go to bed. I had five jars on hand because I couldn't live without them.

Good results from a high-quality product
5/5

For the past nine years, we have been using this company's calming treats for our small dogs. Although the shape and packaging have changed, the results have remained excellent. One of our dogs is terrified of the wind, driving, and loud noises. During thunderstorms, the other becomes agitated. When they show the first signs of anxiety, we give them these calm treats, which helps to reduce their nervous behaviors (one shakes and tries to hide, the other tries to burrow under or between us and yawns, and gets the big eyes). When given the treat, they usually eat it and seem to enjoy it; nervous symptoms subside slightly even if the stimulus continues. For our one guy, we also use a "thunder wrap," which is a spandex-based wrap. type of stretchy garment that snugly fits around his body This appears to assist him in frightening situations as well.

My Cat is at ease
5/5

This may not work for every pet, but it does for mine! I give my 6-year-old a chew every day. 20 minutes before I have to do something stressful, such as nail trimming, going to the vet, or traveling, I give my 5 pound cat a bath. It doesn't make her sleepy; rather, it calms her down, as the bottle claims. She does go to sleep after a stressful event if it isn't too long (like a quick nail trim or something), but she is a cat, so that may have been on her schedule all along. I don't believe she realizes they are abusing her; She continues to enjoy the taste and devours them.

Works
5/5

Before I brought him home, I got an 18-month-old Lab mix who was suffering from anxiety as a result of being in an outdoor kennel for the previous 24 hours. He was anxious, unsure of what to do in his new home, where he was allowed inside and given a bed, toys, and other necessities. On day three, I began giving him a dose in the morning, and he improved dramatically. He is doing well after ten days of adoption. This is a product that I will always have on hand. Thank you.

Boxador, a fearful and aggressive rescue dog - With a large dose, there is some improvement (though the gas is awful)
3/5

I have a 60-pound boxer/labrador retriever who is anxious, fearful, and aggressive (she was a rescue, and it's thought she was originally trained to fight but became too fearful). She has major "emotional" issues for which she has been in training for several months. We tried these to see if they could help take the "edge" off when we went for walks with her. After several weeks of taking these daily, we decided to try puppy prozac because we weren't seeing enough improvement, but there was still a noticeable difference when she had a few of these with breakfast (two never did much, so we give her three). 4 a day). Our dog has a more severe case of anxiety/fear, but I'm sure they'd work well for dogs with less complex behavioral issues, as she readily eats them. I do believe, however, that they make her gas worse than it was previously. Overall, these are worth a try if your dog is only having a few issues in specific situations.

He also pees when his routine changes, such as when he travels
5/5

This worked for our anxious cat, but I'm not sure if it was the only reason he stopped peeing all over the door. We have a roving colony of cats, and my indoor-only cat gets very excited when she sees them. Despite the fact that he is neutered and ten years old, he continues to mark his territory, which includes our living room and hallway. He also pees when his routine changes, such as when he travels, etc. I give him this "tablet" once a day, and he hasn't yet marked anything. It's been a week, so it could be a placebo effect, and he's taking other medications, but I'm going to believe it worked. It is something I will continue to order.
