We bought a large for our TT because they were both the same size, and it fit perfectly.
I believe a large would be appropriate. My dog, who weighs 12 pounds, wore a medium. if it is a tight fit
It appears to have a good amount of airflow. It is where my dog sleeps. Keeps her at ease.
I'd go with a medium; I tried a small on a 12-pound dachshund and it was a little tight.

She was also 24 years old when she underwent surgery. The large size is perfect for her at 5 pounds; it's not too tight, not too loose, and she can move around freely. I've included some photos of my dog as a reference! )br>br>(My 4-year-old son)br>br>(My 4-year-old daughter)b month- Bordoodle's spay is scheduled for next month, and as a worried mama, I'm attempting to prepare so that everything goes as smoothly as possible. I've always had dogs, and we've always spayed and neutered them, but this is the first time I've purchased something like this. So, what was I thinking when I purchased it? I'm glad you inquired. ) Well, anyone who has tried to use the cone of shame (on their dog) knows what I'm talking about. lol) is well aware that the vast majority of dogs despise it. Cones from the past are less expensive, but they are made of hard plastic, which can cause your furniture or walls to be damaged. At 3 a. m. , it's clunky, loud, and not fun to listen to. Soft cones are preferable, but they are more expensive, some dogs do not like them, and some dogs can remove them (yes, this does happen). Furthermore, cones cannot be comfortable, and, let's face it, wouldn't you want your pet to be as comfortable as possible after surgery? Me too. So, let's take a look at this sweetheart. It's soft, easy to put on, and yes, your dog can use it to go potty without taking it off completely. Simply rip both sides of the velcro and place it inside the legs of the dog. Reattach the velcro so that the material is no longer visible. Allow your dog to go potty before reattaching the collar. It's that simple! br>br>My dog weighs 20 pounds and the large fits her perfectly, giving her enough room to be comfortable but preventing her from licking herself. Even if she weighed 25 pounds, I'm sure she'd be comfortable in the large. The velcro holds up well. My only concern is durability (will the strong velcro rip if I pull it on and off several times a day?). If anything negative happens, I'll update this review, but for now, this product is well worth the money. br>br>I considered being frugal and making one myself out of a baby onsie. There are two issues with this. One, I believe that baby onsies will not fit a dog as well as they would on a human baby (potential spoiler alert: dogs do not move as quickly as human babies). I remembered two things: one, I don't sew, and two, I don't know how to sew. It wouldn't be worth the few dollars saved by the time I got all the materials, and the product would be less effective (did I mention I don't sew?). )br>br>Thinking about getting a second one so I can wash one while keeping one on my dog. Plus, she adores water and will dive into water bowls if given the opportunity, so I believe having an extra would be beneficial. br>br>If anything changes after surgery, I'll let you know. br>br>If this review was helpful to you, please click "helpful. The cone of shame was a disaster for our one-year-old Golden Retriever, who had just been neutered. When we first put it on him, he was "paralyzed. " On day two, however, the cone had become more of a weapon as he trotted around the house crashing into everything in sight. You couldn't trust him for more than 30 seconds without his cone before he started licking his stitches. br>br>With this handy little suit, so far, everything has gone well! He hasn't attempted to work on his stitches yet, but being able to move freely without bouncing his cone off the furniture or walls has definitely improved his demeanor. br>br>Agree completely with other reviewers that the sizing is too small. Our dog weighs 70 pounds, so we went with the 2XL size. There was no way I could have made it any smaller. There's a lot of room in the chest and belly (which is good because I don't want the fabric to rub against his stitches), but not much in the length. Cotton, on the other hand, has some stretch, so we should be fine for the next 10 days if we don't put it in the dryer. Crossing my fingers!.
Rather than a cone, I'm going to use this! The design is attractive and well-crafted. It's the quieter type of velcro, which is nicer than expected. The suit fits her perfectly (after I exchanged the first one for a smaller size) and is ideal for post-spay recovery because it eliminates the need for her to wear a cone. She was able to roll around when I wasn't looking and slip out the stretchy neck hole, but she has issues with all shirt neck holes fitting her body shape in the first place. br>br>If you're wondering what size she wears, her neck circumference is 11 inches, her chest girth is 13 inches, her body length is 17 inches, and she weighs 10 pounds. She is a perfect fit for the Small size. Because she is part skye terrier, she has a long back, so I ordered the medium to size up based on the sizing chart and other reviews, but it was too big! The small is a perfect fit for her back length.
The suit was just delivered a few minutes ago, and it looks like it's been worn and is filthy gross! It's covered in long, dark dog hair, as well as urine tracks from a previous dog who wore it. I RECEIVED A USED AND RUINED PRODUCT THAT WAS SOLD AS NEW! Two thumbs down on this one! This seller should not be purchased from!.
Everything about this recovery suit is fantastic, especially the velcro options for keeping it fully on or exposing the back end for pottying. My little girl had her spay surgery the other day. This is ideal for preventing her from licking the incision, and it's far superior to the shame cone.
After being neutered, our dog appears to be coping well. His incision is also protected from his puppy little brother's licking. I ordered several sizes, but the XL is the best fit for Boomer, an Australian Shepard who weighs 60 pounds.
I bought the L for a one-year-old golden retriever who needed surgery, but he couldn't get to the stitches, and the wound healed perfectly. We figured out a trick to let him go outside by pulling the back flaps through his front legs and securing them around his neck with Velcro, which kept it out of the way while he went about his business.
When our 22-pound puppy was fixed, this worked perfectly. I went up a size because she is tall. It does stretch out a little, but it definitely kept her from messing up her stitches and healing process. It also appeared to prevent her from running around and acting erratically while she was recuperating. It's soft and hasn't left any rubbing marks on my clothes. It's simple to put on and take off this hat.
