As if going through hell wasn't enough, the giant plastic cone of shame made her bump into and get caught in all kinds of things. Her only option was to potty in the courtyard because she couldn't reach the grass to smell it. There was no area in the house that I could walk without getting Purchased a soft fabric cone shaped like a flower petal and it worked better than the hard cardboard cone. She still managed to get stuck in furniture corners because of the flared out flower petals.
I have been craving donuts for ages, and this is the best I've had. It took her three days of day and night to beat it. My doctor indicated that this garment should be worn 24/7 for 14 days immediately following surgery. A great product that pet lovers would highly recommend. During the two weeks following my dog's surgery, I used this product to help accelerate his recovery. My dog was extremely comfortable wearing the cone and I think it is much better than the plastic cones that veterinarians usually provide. I believe this was caused by a size issue. Despite its small size, it wasn't possible to completely close it. If you had chosen the XL size, you wouldn't have been disappointed There was a difference in size between the large and the small, so that's why we chose the smaller. That should be helpful!.
As nice it was for the first three or so weeks we needed it following surgery, but after that it stopped holding air for more than 8 hours. Still works as long as it is filled before bed and before leaving for work in the morning. Here is one thing to keep in mind It might not prevent your pup from reaching certain parts of their body if he or she is gangly. My dog is exceptionally long and has a lot of racing dog in her. I have been noticing that my baby has been licking the fur off her right back knee, and this is just perfect. I think this collar is great. It's really tricky to inflate since I had to find the exact spot where I wanted to pinch to open it up and let the air.
