It irritates the poor little guy, but he is unable to remove it. It took him some time to adjust to his new status as a conehead. He collides with us and occasionally runs into walls. Watching him battle it is pathetically entertaining. When I first took it out of the package, he grabbed it and ran away with it, attempting to eat it. He didn't succeed, fortunately.

Strong velcro closure with soft sides that wrap around the neck and don't protrude one foot! To date, Amazon has been the source of my greatest purchases! I'm going to show these to U of I when she comes in for her checkup. This Amazon seller/creator of these is incredible! Message for the vendor: Please sell these at all times. I'm going to show these to all of my veterinarians! My mix weighs 70 pounds. Pit Bull/Shephard/Rodesian Ridgeback and this allows her to feel less enclosed, is soft around her neck, and sees through so she can see around her, all of which makes her feel less anxious when she wears it.

It works great, and because there are so many different sizes included, you won't have to worry about whether it will fit or not. It's gentle on my dog's neck, and he can still eat from his bowl while wearing it.

I was completely blown away! I own a grooming shop, and sometimes it's easier and less stressful to put a cone on a dog than it is to use a muzzle. These are incredibly simple to put on and extremely durable. We've been using them for quite some time and have had no problems.

My dog had to be the bad guy because she kept chewing on her feet. My other dog is simply doing his job as a wonderful big brother. Lol. Excellent product.

I have a chihuahua mix and a lab mix, and the range of sizes in this set allowed me to find one that was just right for each of them. My chihuahua mix chews on her behind a lot, so we've been using a cone to keep her from doing so at night when we can't watch her. It's been extremely beneficial in this regard. We've been able to apply the prescribed medication to her, and because she can't lick it off, her cuts and infection have been healing nicely. What I like about these cones is that I don't have to worry about them wearing a collar or about it getting in the way if they do. All I need is some assistance holding them still while I velcro the cone around their neck. I didn't think these would work because I assumed they'd be able to wiggle out due to the velcro, but after watching them mess with it, I think they'll be fine. They won't be able to break free. My lab mix needed surgery, and she was unable to chew on her stitches despite her best efforts. They're fantastic cones that are also simple to clean.

My sweet furry friend had undergone surgery and required the use of a cone. As far as I could tell, the vet cone was thicker and caused more pain. It took him a second to get used to it when I first put it around his neck, but once he did, I could tell this was a better product than what he had before, and he liked it. The only issue is that the flap is velcro, so if his neck is smaller and you run the cone closer together, the velcro part sticks out. It's not a big deal because I taped it down so he wouldn't chew. I like how the edges aren't too jagged for a human's face.

The other sizes will be donated, but I'm glad we were able to get what we needed! She despises wearing them, but at least I'm not concerned about her comfort.
