I paid $65 for this three-pack at the end of August 2017, and it arrived today (Nov. I return for a re-examination on January 1, 2017. What if I place an order and it costs up to $84? Price gouging, to be sure. Yes, they've just lost another client - I'm not going to buy it from you.
For the past eight years, I've been purchasing Fortiflora to help my dog's damaged GI tract after he survived Parvo as a puppy. He can't live without it; he has to have a packet in his food bowl every day, and I've tried other brands! This one keeps his stomach in place, allowing him to be happy rather than sickly. All of this is to say that for the past four years, I have gone to his veterinarian at the beginning of each month to get his monthly supply. Then, all of a sudden, the cost skyrocketed! So I took a look around and, hesitantly, purchased it on Amazon, where it has remained for the past four years. I've never had a packet of white powder in all that time - Brown is the color of choice.
On the back of the box, it says, "Manufactured by: It also appears that it is imported to Canada by Nestlé Purina Petcare Company, St. Louis, Missouri 63164 USA. The Purina can be found here. com's telephone number is 1- 800- 879- I'm sure they'll be able to answer any questions you have at 1266. I hope this has been of assistance.
It is consumed by my dogs. They have a very high standard. It's possible to incorporate it into their meals. The dose is about the size of a sweet packet and is very low.

Keep in mind that February is only 28 days long. The best before date for this product is March 12th. This is a probiotic supplement with specific bacteria to help keep my pet's digestive system healthy, but I won't be able to use all 30 packets before they expire. I'm fuming at Amazon for selling something like this. If you spent $27 or more on probiotics for a pet with stomach problems, you want them to be fresh and not close to expiring. I feel like I've been taken advantage of.
I decided to reorder it to help my dog, who was recently diagnosed with heart disease, maintain his gut health. Because of her health, I've learned to read pet labels, and I couldn't believe what I read on this one. Salt is a no-no for dogs with heart disease, especially those who retain fluid and are taking lasix medications. I'm finding salt in a lot of dog foods as well; I'm sure they get plenty of salt already, so why would a probiotic have salt in it? Most likely to fool you into thinking your dog enjoys it. I'm looking for probiotics, not a bunch of garbage. I'm going to order only Jarrow Pet Dophilius from now on, because it doesn't have any of the flavor enhancers.
As a result, the veterinarian prescribed flagyl, which was ineffective. The vet recommended a 10-day dewormer for goats, followed by a seven-day probiotic. So, we've got it! I awoke to the smell of heaven in all four crates! It had spread throughout the city. And after 1 DOSE, for the rest of the day! gross! I'm returning it right away! We've used Zesty Paws probiotics in the past with no problems. It's a disaster! That is something I will definitely return to. YUCK! I'm never buying another Purina product again!.
I'm hoping it's helping him. The last two orders, on the other hand, appeared to have less product in each little pack. And I'm not sure if it's still as fresh as it once was, because the powder has clumped together in one solid clump that needs to be broken up. Is it a lack of freshness that you're experiencing? I'm starting to doubt the product because the quantity and texture aren't what they were when I first started using it.
(As of 4/27/17, this information has been updated. ) Without a doubt, it aided our dogs. We reduced the dose to 1/2 packet per dog per morning on food as a maintenance dose after some acute issues resolved and balance was achieved. This had worked extremely well, and the advantages had lasted for months.
We began paying approximately $20 per 30 packet and then the *** PRICE JUMPED 50%! ***. You'll understand what I'm talking about if you're a regular user. That was enough to convince us to try something different. We chose a bulk (i. e. , a product that has received a lot of positive feedback). , rather than individual packets) product that was significantly less expensive. I carefully read the label and noticed that the primary microorganism found in Fortiflora is absent from the alternative brand I chose. I was a little hesitant because of how well Fortiflora worked. This other brand, which we're testing, contains a diverse range of organisms as well as some potentially beneficial additives. It's been more than three weeks, and everything has gone well so far. One notable benefit of Fortiflora is that the dogs appear to enjoy the taste. They licked the bottoms of their bowls clean. The other label. . . They appear to be unconcerned about it. So we wet their dry food with a drop of water and sprinkle the powder on top. It's devoured by them. br>br>I would have given 5 stars if an alternative product at a fraction of the price worked just as well, but this is not a standout and DEFINITELY NOT at the current price. Yet. If anything changes, I'll let you know. br>br>Because of the aggressive pricing, we decided to try an alternative, and we are no longer using this product; we are not looking back for the time being. If anything changes, I'll let you know. br>br>Congratulations to the geniuses of marketing. br>br>***UPDATE 1/25/17br>I came to update and discovered that my review had been pushed to the bottom of the page by a strangely-timed, mysteriously-timed, mysteriously-timed, mysteriously-timed, curiously-timed, curiously-timed, curiously-timed, curiously-timed, curiously-timed, curious There are a lot of 5-second videos. reviews of 5 stars I'll leave it to you to decide what's going on, but something about this smells strange to me. Given that the alternative works for a fraction of the price, I'm lowering my rating to one star (I give stars based on relative value, and I'm no longer impressed). br>br>Anyway, the alternate product we've been using for a few months now appears to be working perfectly. The advantages we noticed with Forti- Flora is still available, but without the unnecessarily high price tag. Please don't be afraid to try a different brand; these jerks believe they have a captive audience because we don't want to put our pets' health at risk. They're profiting off of our apprehension. And no, I'm not a salesperson trying to sell you something else; if you want to keep using it and are happy with it, then go ahead and accept the price gouging. ***UPDATE 4/27/17br>br>***UPDATE 4/27/17br>br>***UPDATE 4/27/17***UPDATE 4/27/17***UPDATE 4/27/17***UPDATE 4/27/17***UPDATE 4/27/ hmmmm. In any case, the alternate product we've been using has continued to perform admirably. It appears to have successfully completed the "springtime special" (annual diarrhea) period; The herd grew to three members a few months ago, and they're all doing great. The alternative continues to work for us.
Around the age of 6 or 7 months, my bluetick coonhound developed severe diarrhea. Metronidazole was prescribed by the veterinarian, and while it worked well, it was not a long-term solution. After hearing about FortiFlora from a friend, I decided to purchase a box. He was back to normal in two or three days, sleeping through the night. We're both in a good mood. Every morning, he eats one packet of cereal. He has reached the age of sixteen. a hundred pounds This is an excellent product.
