These can now be purchased without a prescription. On Amazon, there have been reports of counterfeit Proviable DC being sold by private sellers. Check out the Nutramax website; I won't be purchasing Proviable probiotics or the paste kit from Amazon or eBay. They are available from 1800 Vet Meds and other reputable sources. Since my first Proviable purchase from a vet, I've purchased them from Chewy for many years.
I'm still waiting for a response from Amazon, but the box does appear to differ slightly from the one I purchased from my veterinarian, and Nutramax has stated that Amazon is not an authorized seller. This one came from Amazon, and I had my dog on it. There were no changes, and he became ill twice without a known cause during that time. I recently bought it from my veterinarian, and the difference is amazing. I'm well aware that the risk is not worth it for me. After seeing the results, I'm only going to buy from my veterinarian from now on.
One was just placed in my shopping cart - It was delivered today - April 2017 is the end date. I'll use up the box before 4/17 because there are 80 caps in a box and I only give one cap per day. You and your pet should be fine if yours has the same expiration date.
I gave it to my dog, and it helped him with his stomach problem. Nutramax laboratories has a 1-800 number on the box that you can call. 888- 886- 6442 in order to obtain the correct response. Good luck, and I hope your cat enjoys it as much as you do!

DANGER! On Amazon, do not purchase this item. It turns out that this was made and shipped from China under the guise of an American corporation. My two dogs have become extremely ill as a result of this. I only gave it one star because you have to do your homework and buy from Nutramax direct in order to submit a review. Everyone you know who owns a pet should be aware of this danger. This is something that should be prohibited.
I've been giving this medication to my dog for about 6 months and decided to buy it on Amazon to save money. I purchased the 80 capsule pack to ensure that we would have enough capsules for a longer period of time. When I went to put it in my dog's food tonight, I noticed it looked strange; the normal powder is white and fine, but this had a strange color. I didn't give the food to my dog and instead opened a new capsule onto a plate, where I was surprised to find that the powder was a strange tan/orange color with larger flecks of substance. I read the Amazon reviews that warned about the counter-productive nature of the product. I am convinced that this is a counter-productive product. package that is appropriate I WILL NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT OTHER THAN FROM MY VET! Saving a few dollars isn't as important to me as my dog's life. It's a pity that Amazon has so many counter-intuitive products. products that are safe, especially those that are potentially harmful.
If your cat is throwing up, has diarrhea, or is constipated, don't hesitate to purchase this. It's amazing how well it works! br>Rupert, my 15 1/2-year-old cat, has been battling IBD for months, with numerous trips to the vet and the constant switching of his food to a Hills special diet recommended by the vets. Three to four times a week, he regurgitated his food with a lot of liquid. Diarrhea and constipation never seem to produce a regular stool. All of our blood tests and x-rays came back normal. Even though Rupert is an indoor cat, he began to scratch when we tried the Hills DD diet (duck). The vet diagnosed him with fleas. I suggested Probiotics, but they scowled and said he wouldn't like the taste, despite the fact that Proviable has no taste. After numerous visits to the veterinarian, dry pilling for diarrhea that did not work, and dietary changes, I conducted extensive research and read all of the Proviable reviews, which took me four days to complete. I switched his food to Nature's Variety Instinct Rabbit Formula; he's a picky eater, but he loves it. He can't eat dry food because, according to my research, even the best dry food isn't good. I bought Proviable, and it turned out to be the miracle I was hoping for: ) NO THROWING UP IN 34 DAYS Stool is normal, his weight is increasing (he had lost 2 lbs), and I'm looking for a new veterinarian. Please keep in mind that Rupert's IBD is not completely cured, but Proviable helped me to alleviate many of the symptoms associated with IBD. br>I break open the capsule and mix it into his food. I also let him play with the empty capsule, which dissolves. It took about a week for it to take effect, but by day three, he was throwing up much less. ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA update: Rupert is still going strong on Proviable in June 2018, despite the fact that he is seventeen years old. He is now 5 years old and has never thrown up. I stock up before the summer heat sets in, then reorder in October when the weather cools down. ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA Rupert turned 19 on February 14, 2020, and he has stage 3 kidney disease. He is still on Proviable and Epakitin, as well as Dasuquin for arthritis.
According to one review, any Proviable product purchased on Amazon is not made by Nutramax, even if the packaging looks like it. That is still the case, according to Nutramax, which I called today (7/19/19). Nutramax does not make any of the products that are sold on Amazon. They don't sell on Amazon, and vets can't sell their products there either. There's nothing else to say. Purchases can be made at com or from your veterinarian. While I haven't had a problem with my dog as a result of previous purchases of 'Proviable' on Amazon, I'm not convinced that the product has helped. I prefer to purchase my product directly from the manufacturer because it is truly Proviable.
In April, my 20-year-old cat became sick with diarrhea. Stool was dripping down his legs at the time. I asked if there was anything they could do to stop his diarrhea after a $450 vet visit (just for blood work and medicine) and still being undiagnosed because they wanted me to spend another $1600 for an ultrasound and overnight stay, which I refused. The vet told me I was making a mistake by taking him home because he wouldn't live another day or two. She gave him seven proviable dc pills for $30. My grandfather is still alive and well after four months, insisting on boiled chicken tenders and daily proviable dc pills.
I bought it because my cancer-stricken dog was suffering from diarrhea. Nothing appeared to be of assistance. A tablespoon of pumpkin usually helps a dog with diarrhea firm up his stools, but it wasn't working this time. I spoke with a veterinarian who recommended this, and I purchased some. I gave it to my dog, and I noticed the diarrhea was slowing down and the stools were firming up again after a few days. br>br>Though my poor dog didn't last much longer than the month I gave him this, I'm glad I got it for him. It is taken once a day in the form of a capsule. I broke open the capsules and sprinkled them on his food, and he didn't seem to mind. It had the desired effect. That was the most crucial factor. And it was a lot less expensive than getting the same thing from the vet!br>br>If you're not sure if this is a good product - YES, YES, YES, YES, AND Y I can say this with complete certainty. I'm a nutritionist who works primarily with humans but also with animals, and this is a great product that I would recommend to anyone who wants to keep their pets healthy and happy. br>br>If my review of this product was helpful to you, please let me know by clicking the 'Yes' button to the right.
