For about two weeks, I've been using these every other day (I know, I should probably do it every day) for a dog who has a lot of eye stains and tears. It's great for getting rid of clumps! However, it is important to note that it works best on damp fur. I just dampen his eyes with a tissue or towel first; I tried it dry once and it seemed like the tugging hurt him, so I stopped, wet it, and it works perfectly every time! It's a little gross to clean off, but it's a lot easier than it used to be. It takes some getting used to handling it, and holding it at the right angle helps, but at least I'm not sorry for poking his eyes. Overall, I'm pleased, the price is reasonable, and the product is of good quality.
My white terrier mix's eyes are always watery, and "eye boogers" are a common occurrence. There are no health problems; it's just a family trait. Nothing worked, not even blueberries or distilled water. The problem was completely solved by wiping her face with a warm cloth every day and then using this tiny comb! She also appears to be having a good time with it.
My maltiyorkiepoo gets massive eye boogers around her eyes and nose because of her long hair. I believe they work better when the fur is wet, so I use it on her after each bath. Alternatively, wet a washcloth and use it first to avoid causing pain to your dog. These are definitely worth checking out!.
When I bought this, I was a little sceptical. I needed something to gently clean the gunk that had accumulated on my Shih Tzu's face as a result of him licking his tongue. These combs do a fantastic job. My furkid responds best to the larger of the two. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
This is an excellent comb for removing tear stains. It was very simple to clean the area around her eyes, as well as the comb. My dog has never whimpered in pain while sitting and allowing us to use it. It's gentle on her eyebrows and eyelashes.
