Questions & Answers
I use these combs to clean around my dog's (Maltese) eyes because the teeth on them are very narrow. Ticks, I believe, can be removed with these combs. Your Pug should be able to use these.
I had a delivery that was supposed to be "hand-delivered to a resident," but this was not the case. br>Occasionally, packages are delivered to a house one block north of mine by mistake, but they do not receive them. When I called customer service to explain the situation, I was told that a replacement would be delivered in three days. I appreciate the gesture, but I hope the employee who was caught lying is disciplined.
Both combs are shown, but neither of them can be described as "large." "As you can see, they're quite small." The spacing of the wire comb tines is what distinguishes them.
They're rounded, to be sure. They're great for getting rid of eye crud. In order to clean them, I placed them in the dishwasher basket.

up the stairwell and Simple flea combs are similar to these. Too wide to get close enough to remove stains from small dog eyes. br>A better option is to visit a make-up artist. Get a small brow comb/brush and walk up the aisle. Does the same thing, but it's a lot easier to work with around your dog's eyes. Especially if your dog is of a small breed.
I have a 16-pound Pomeranian/Papillon mix who is constantly covered in tear stains. I tried a variety of wipes, oils, and washes, but they only got a little bit of dirt out. I can't always get the tear stains out because they become crusty. br>br>THESE WERE REALLY USEFUL. They have the perfect size teeth for brushing through the crusty areas around her eyes, and then I can easily wipe the loose remains away. My dog, too, is a team player. It appears that she enjoys it. Because I searched Petco and Petsmart for something similar, but they didn't have anything, I would definitely recommend this product to small dog owners with similar issues. They only have flea combs, which have wider teeth and would not be suitable for this application. br>br>The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of the brush width. I think they'd be even better if they weren't quite so wide, allowing me to get even closer to my dog's eyes. But that isn't a major problem. I still think they're great.
When I first got this, I was a little worried because I couldn't imagine it being as simple as the other reviewers claimed. I was terrified of poking him in the eye if he moved (he moves a lot)- I was afraid of yanking out the stray hairs caught in the gunk in my eyes- Before I even tried it, I was mentally preparing myself for all the ridiculous little things that could go wrong. I feel the need to state- I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate each of the previous reviews had been! br>br>I had to encircle him with my legs before I could get his face in my hands, but the brush worked like a charm! As the brush descends, he closes his little eye, and the tines are pointed down and away from him, so even when he's wiggly, there's not much of a risk of poking him in the eyeball! The comb's many tines help dislodge the gunk from the little hairs around his eyes quickly and without causing my little guy any dramatic whining! br>br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat! (And it's possible I'll have to if I keep misplacing it!).
It doesn't remove the stain, but it does get rid of the mucus buildup in my dog's eyes:.
I was reordering some grooming supplies for my cockapoo when I came across this little gem. I figured it'd be a good addition to my arsenal for the price. As a puppy, he had tear staining, but now he just gets that goop in the corner of his inner eyes as an adult. When I don't catch the hoop quickly enough, it gets stuck in his muzzle and hardens. Even when I use dog wipes to remove the goop, it is slimy and difficult to remove. This tool is nothing short of a miracle! I got the sticky wet goop after just one comb through, and it was small, light weight, and a good value for the price. I discovered eye gunk buried in his muzzle after a few more comb throughs. Most importantly, this comb removed the debris from my dog's coat without causing him any discomfort. In fact, he appeared to be having a good time! Take a look at some of the images.
The other methods I've tried for removing stains are only marginally effective because the hairs in the stain area become entangled. These combs comb out the stuck together hairs while also removing the stain residue; sometimes you have to pull a little harder to get the comb through the stuck together stain, and I know it's a little uncomfortable for my dog, but she's very tolerant of whatever is done to her.
She was a 5 pound blond/brown Yorkie who had tear stains and drainage in the corners of her eyes all of the time. The problem was finally solved with these combs! Every morning, ALL stains and debris were removed by gently combing the corners of the eyes, including the hair on either side of the nose, and brushing outward to the face's periphery. This didn't bother my dog at all. and the space between the comb teeth is thin enough that all debris is removed in just a few passes with the combs. br>br>I can't speak for other dog breeds, particularly white ones (like a former bulldog I had) whose white hair was stained brown by ocular drainage. In these cases, a combination of combs and Tylan in the food would be my recommendation. For years, this has been a lifesaver for my Yorkshire terrier. In addition, the combs are very durable. My biggest problem has been when they've been "borrowed" and I haven't seen them since. 🙂.
came exactly as shown in the picture My dog's eye area had a lot of gunk build up, and this product was very helpful in getting rid of it. The comb is extremely fine, catching even the tiniest of particles. It's best to use it right after he's been bathed, as the warm water softens the material.
