I'm not certain. This is used to clean my westie's eyelid because she suffers from dryness. We have some medication in a tube, but it's for dry eyes only. It is only available with a prescription. This is only intended for use by others.
Hello. Milliliters are the unit of measurement. I bought a 50-milliliter container. I hope this has been of assistance.
The tear stains are not removed by this method.

Initially, my veterinarian recommended Lid N Lash, but I went ahead and bought a product that claimed to have all the bells and whistles. There was just one issue. It aggravated the situation with my dog. br>At that point, I made the decision to try Lid N Lash. I was able to get the job done on my pet with just a small amount. br>Sophie weighs 70 pounds. White Labrador - Because she was a pointer mix, the awful brown stains ruined her youthful appearance. br>The stains were greatly reduced with Lid N Lash and are now almost non-existent. br>To put it plainly, I am at ease discussing this because it works.
My solid white little dog's tear stains looked a lot better after I used this. I've tried just about everything I can think of to get rid of the tear stains, but I've yet to find a product that truly works. I can't stand it when my little dog's face gets filthy, so the only solution I've found is to simply cut the hair away from her eyes. br>Please click the "yes" button below if you found this review helpful. But I was desperate to find something that would help because her tears were drying up and causing the skin around her eyes to become thick and hard. Both eyes become crusty over time, but one is more so than the other. We've been using this product for a few weeks now, and I'm happy to report that it DOES HELP with breaking up the crust. It would get 5 stars if I applied it and the crust just melted away, but that's not the case. To get the area wet and slightly "soft," I find that I need to use warm water and a small washcloth. Then I apply lids and lashes and rub it into the crusty areas gently. I need to reapply it and rub it in for a few minutes, alternating with warm water and the washcloth. It is far more effective than simply using warm water to loosen the gunk. It takes me about 10 minutes to clean both of my eyes thoroughly.
Application pointers I'm so glad I found this product because our yorkie suffers from allergies and is always dry. eye, resulting in the cement-like substance. like boogers in the eyes that a warm wet washcloth couldn't seem to get rid of. I've found that the best way to use this product is to first soak the crusted area in a warm wet washcloth with gentle rubbing, then apply this product and massage it in. Wait a minute before gently removing the crust with the wet washcloth; it works great, and my dog now looks forward to having her eyes cleaned. There will be no more yanking on her lashes while cleaning. PS- If you think your dog has allergies, ask your veterinarian if you can give him an antihistamine every day. This has helped me cut down on the number of times I have to clean my dog's eyes.
Tear stains have appeared on my Brittany, which is unusual for this breed. I experimented with a variety of methods, including: Changing her diet, water, and adding suggested foods, as well as cleaning with a saline solution, cotton ball, and toothbrush. The saline solution method was the most effective, but it only got worse from there. This product was recommended by the vet, and wow! It was extremely beneficial. She still has a lot of gunk near her eyes, but it's a lot better now. I use the cotton to rub directly on the fur, then the toothbrush (which I make sure to clean thoroughly after each use) and a small amount of saline solution if necessary. For me, it was well worth the time and effort.
I work as a dog groomer, and crusty eye gunk is a common occurrence. To soften the gunk, I used facial tearless shampoo, but it took a long time for it to soften enough for me to comb it out safely. It was a lot simpler with Lid'n Lash! I apply it to the dog's face while washing the rest of him, and it softens the hard crust so quickly that I can easily comb it away. It's almost as if it's a miracle! I'm certain I'll keep some on hand at all times now.
This is the only product that softens the crusty buildup on my dog's eyes that I've found. It's gentle enough that my dog doesn't mind getting her face cleaned any longer. I simply slime some of this gel onto the hardened crusty areas, wait a few minutes, and then comb through with a flea comb. It works well and does not irritate the skin in any way. The product removes the gunk but does not lighten the stains.
This is some impressive work. When my pug's face has a buildup of gunk around his eyes, I use it liberally. He's now in his eighties and suffers from a variety of eye problems, so his eyes occasionally crust over. After allowing the cleaner to sit for a few minutes, everything wipes clean. It's far more effective than water, and it doesn't appear to hurt if I get it in his eyes. If your dog suffers from eye crust, I strongly advise you to give it a try.
