My honest advice is to avoid purchasing this item because the manufacturer's ingredients are nowhere to be found, including on the product label. I HAVE NOT REPURCHASED THIS ITEM AS A RESULT OF THIS.

I used it on my Chihuahua and it worked great. Eevee is a six-month-old Pomeranian mix. With just one use, the stains were almost completely removed. I used this on my late bulldog, who was both tan and white, and it worked wonders on her eyes and skin folds, even removing the dark staining. The solution appears to be unappreciated by both dogs. I use a round cotton round that you can find near your makeup removers.
It has no suds, so I wet her fur, squeeze a little under her eyes, and massage her. I clean the gunk from around her eyes with a soft toothbrush. After that, repeat the process. It's fantastic.
To remove eye stains from my Bichon, I used this product years ago. I now have a terrier mix with weeping eyes. br>br>After a long search, I finally found this product on Amazon and placed an order for a supply. I apply the solution under my eyes with a moistened tissue on a daily basis. The black allergy stains can be removed with a few gentle rubs. The stains are kept under control by using the product on a daily basis. After applying the product, there is no need to wash it off, but it should be avoided getting into the eyes of the pet.
Tear stains around the eyes and mouth of my white miniature poodle have been present for a long time. This is a harmless "issue," but it's unsightly, and it's gotten worse as she's gotten older. Clear Eye can help a little. I apply it to her eyes carefully so as not to spread the stain, which I compare to hair dye in that it "dyes" the cotton pad I use to clean the area. There were injestibles on the market, such as "Angel Eyes," but they were taken off due to negative long-term health effects. That leaves Clear Eye, which doesn't completely solve the problem, but it does help, especially when used in conjunction with careful trimming and professional grooming on a monthly basis.
Another reviewer mentioned a bad odor, but I didn't notice it. Although Crystal Eyes does not bleach out existing tear stains in the fur, it appears to be a good, gentle cleanser once they've been controlled (probably with a systemic product). It doesn't irritate my dog's eyes and aids in the removal of any discharge that has built up in the corners of her eyes. I use it once or twice a week, gently but thoroughly scrubbing the entire eye area with a cotton ball. My dog is a senior white Bichon who had a terrible stain on her face when I first got her. Her little face is now radiant and lovely! She appears to be in her forties. My second bottle was recently purchased. (April 10, 2012) Update. The photo for the product I ordered shows an 8 oz bottle, which has nothing to do with its performance. I only got a 4 oz bottle of the product. During shipping, the bottle leaked. I believe I was overcharged, but returning the item would be too much trouble. Despite the fact that I will buy Crystal Eye again, I am unlikely to do so through Amazon.
Because of the many positive reviews, I decided to buy it. I tried it on my Pom, and the stains are still there. I'm almost finished with the bottle and there hasn't been any improvement. I've tried every method I've seen people use it with, and the stains remain unchanged. 😳.
I have a medium-sized black and white mix dog whose one eye is stained with tears. Her eyes stay clear when she uses this product on a daily basis. (The stain isn't visible because the other eye has black fur) The product is gentle, and my dog doesn't mind at all. The texture is very nice.
Only use caution! This definitely gets rid of the gunk that has formed beneath my Cocker's eyes as a result of the tears that have hardened. Just make sure you're not getting too close to their eyes. I use a cotton ball dipped in doggie eye wash to wipe away any excess, which is not the case here.
