This product isn't the same as tacrolimus. Tacrolimus is a drug that is supposed to help with dry eye pigmentation as well as increase year production. None of that is the case here. I'd only use it if you have a mild case of dry eye. My dog suffers from severe dry eye, and I've tried applying it up to four times a day without success. Tacrolimus is, unfortunately, tacrolimus only.
Because it isn't an antihistamine, it is unlikely to be effective if the cause is allergies. Because it's a lubricant, it's for eyes that are irritated by dryness or other factors. It might help if your pet is bothered by dust that causes abrasion irritation. I use it because my cat has entropion and isn't a candidate for surgery right now due to other issues, so I alternate it with Bausch and Lomb's Soothe ointment. Lomb goes out of his way to make her feel at ease.
Hello : ) According to the label, it contains no preservatives that may cause eye irritation. If you have any additional concerns, please contact us.
My dog was on remend for severe dry eye as well. I- was suggested by his opthalmologist. I've been using DROP Vet gel (blue package) and it's been fantastic. At around the same price, it's a perfect match for the Remend, which I'm temporarily unable to obtain, so I went with the Ocunovis. I have yet to try it.

It was simple to apply and provided his eyes with a protective layer. It lasted longer than eye drops, and he didn't seem to mind. He was suffering from allergies and had gunk in his eyes, which this alleviated.
This product has a love-hate relationship with me, despite the fact that it is fantastic! My pug suffers from chronic dry eyes and has been on optommune for years (I'm sure I misspelled that). But it was the prescription eye drops, which came in a small tube and cost $50 for a week's supply. ) This stuff is just as good as, if not better than, the original. The issue I'm having is as follows: THE PRESENTATION. Squeezing it out is a nightmare. My finger is easily subluxated and dislocated because I am disabled. As a result, using this is a major pain. I even attempted to get my husband to use it, but he struggled. Because your product is excellent and reasonably priced, I hope you change your packaging to make it easier for your customers to use. But I can't keep using it if it causes my hands to hurt.
My dog seems to like this product because his eyes are much clearer and he has fewer boogies! This has made a huge difference in his allergies. It's blink-activated, and two drops twice a day should suffice. It's a little pricey for some drops, but it's far superior to the previous drops I purchased for the same price, and I highly recommend it.
I've tried tacrolomous, optimmune, and other options, but I'd rather not subject her to eye surgery that may or may not resolve the problem. My veterinarian was advised by the specialist to increase the tacrilomous to. 03 and obtain a hylauronic acid eye drop (. 25% off Amazon I came across this product and was impressed by what I saw, so I purchased it. This, I believe, is the key. The two work well together. 03% tacrolimous and these Hylauronic drops equals a happy dog with clear eyes ! There was no discharge at all! Amazing! I hope my review is helpful to you and your pet as well!.
Squeezing the bottle is difficult, especially with large arthritic hands. It would be nice to have a larger bottle so that it is easier to hold. Only if you can get the drops out and into your eye is the value worthwhile!.
This is a TINY bottle. On August 11th, I got it. And it only lasted two weeks when I used it twice a day on my senior dog. It appeared to be effective for his eyes, but the bottle was small and stiff, making it difficult to squeeze out drops. I decided to buy a different brand because of the price and size, one that comes in a larger bottle and lasts longer for the same price and works just as well.
These drops were supposed to help my dog's eye, but they actually made it worse. My dog has dry eyes, and due to a combination of the air conditioning and allergies, her one eye was extremely red. I had been referring to myself as I- I had been using DROP vet drops, but they didn't seem to be working, so I decided to try this. Unfortunately, she had a negative reaction to them. She held her eye shut the first time I put them in and struggled to open it. It had to be on fire. After a second attempt, her eye was swollen and she refused to open it the next morning. I couldn't go to the vet because it was Saturday. I did some online research and came across a video from a veterinarian demonstrating some at-home remedies. He applied Similasan's pink eye relief. I went out and purchased it, and it appears to be in good working order. When I put them in, it didn't burn at all, and she's now opening her eyes. My dog could be extra sensitive, but the Ocunovis Eye gel did not work for him.
The drops appear to be of good quality, but I'd rather buy "human" drops next time because they're much less expensive. br>br>The bottle is small, as expected, but it is difficult to squeeze due to its small size. To apply the drops, we needed two people: one to keep the dog's head still and the other to squeeze the bottle of drops with two hands.
