I'm happy to report that Curaseb, as well as Duoxo, worked well for the dermatitis my pet suffers from. The ingredients are the same and the strength is the same. It was a very good decision for us.
In this shampoo, there is 4% chlorhexidine (antibacterial), whereas there is another combo version that has either 3% or 2% chlorhexidine along with another 1% antifungal. I do not have the other product so I cannot tell what it contains. When treating an infection caused by bacteria, 4% chlorhexidine would be a better option. If, however, your pet has both bacterial and fungal problems at one time, the combo version might be a better option.
There is no listing on the label that indicates it is either an active or inactive ingredient.

This type of shampoo was recommended by our vet because his stomach was totally broken out. There was a book on Amazon that caught my eye. So I ordered it since it had good reviews, and now I too am adding to those good The itching on his stomach went away after a week of using the product, and he has less stomach pain. The bottle I have is empty, but I will place an order for more when it Attached are photos of the before and after. Keeping track of the directions is critical. You may have a hard time getting your dog to sit and wait for ten minutes, but you must do it.
It's a staff. As a result of taking an allergy medication called Apoquel, her immune system has been weakened and she is unable to fight off a bacterial infection. As a result of it, she is also growing tumors. It's a different story on that front. At the end of the day, we wash her twice a week with 4% detergent and we wash and vacuum her kennel each time. There's a lot of work that needs to be done in order to solve the skin problem. To be honest, I just wish finding the tumors wasn't the next issue to face. The advice I give to your dogs is to never give them Apoquel.
It is an awesome product! There were crusty sores under his arms, on his back, and near the base of his tail he was scratching. The changes we made to his diet were in vain. In order to keep him from scratching so much, we took him to the vet several times and he received antibiotics, fungal spray, and pills. It would be less effective the more times he took the antibiotic no matter how effective it was at clearing his sores, says the vet. There was a recommendation for us to try Curaseb Antifungal was first tried, and it worked well for us The antibacterial shampoo with chlorhexidine is recommended for use against yeast, bacteria, We thought we were on the right track after all, as it seemed to work somewhat. After reading further, I discovered that if the animal had the same type of sores my dog has, then it was probably a bacterial infection as such a stronger dosage of chlorhexidine gluconate is necessary. The Curaseb Chlorhexidine 4% solution had the desired effect in just a week or three shampoos. Sores are no longer an issue! An excellent product recommended by veterinarians that works well. Is there anything else I need to prove it? Following the instructions is very important.
The skin problems started around the age of 5, and they've been chronic and have gotten worse over time. I was unable to get any help from the vets (short of antibiotics or steroids, which I refuse to use), and we went through so many different dietary changes to try to figure out what was causing it. The vet prescribed 3% chlorhexidine shampoo following YEARS of her back breaking out in small eruptions, flaky round oozing patches on her underside, black greasy accumulation around the base of her hair in certain places, and raw inflamed itchy patches all over. The first thing that actually worked was the bleach, but that did not wipe out the problem. The result seemed to be that it was stifled. In looking at reviews of this product, I saw that many people had great results with it when 2% or 3% formulas did not, so I decided to try it out. In just one bath, all the red, moist, inflamed areas were cleared up overnight, and they were all a healthy, pink color the next morning. In addition, all her sores were healing well, so we gave her another bath after a few days. It was reported that all of her sores had disappeared and the chewing and itching have stopped completely. Suddenly, she has a tail that wags constantly, something we have not seen in years. I do not know exactly the cause of all her skin problems, but I am sure that this Curaseb with 4% Chlorhexadine solution was the remedy. The following product might just be what your furry friend needs if he or she has a skin issue the vet cannot help with.
I have a Labrador who suffers from a lot of allergies and skin conditions. He has a bump and a red spot every time he swims or plays in a field so I began to need to use this shampoo afterward. After a week, these are the before and after pictures. As the fur grows back and the skin heals, notice how the wounds fill in.
MRSA is causing my dog's skin infection (as well as allergies and itchiness) Having a never ending battle for almost a year seems like a terrible waste of time. Four TBS per gallon of water, a few times a week, no rinsing) to try to reduce his skin's bacteria. Throughout the infection, there is no end in sight. Even the bleach rinse can only be partially effective. I am trying not to use pesticides. It is impossible to use chemicals on him as much as I would like to, but I have to do something since this bacteria is eating up his skin. The shampoo has been used twice already and I'm quite satisfied with it Bacteria load seems to be decreasing as a result. Considering I have not experienced success from anything else, I do not expect it to solve my problem. The bacteria bumps/ crusts on his skin are out of control if I don't bathe him at least twice a week. It was determined by the vet derm that the bacteria is hidden in the wound There is a festering under the crust I would appreciate any help if anyone else is stuck on this There is no way around getting those crusts off their skin, and treating it with shampoo (or whatever treatment you prefer) under the crusts. It's possible to get rid of the infection with this shampoo In other words, it's becoming more and more difficult to do anything There is no doubt in my mind that I will be pleased. There is a pleasant smell to it. This product does not feel harsh on my hands (it does not dry them). One thing I dislike is that it does not lather up very strongly. My lather helps me to get a better understanding of how well I cover him. He wears this for a 10 minute period, then I rinse it off It has not caused any adverse reactions so far. The method seems to be working. It takes me a long time to finish a bottle The option to buy a gallon appears not to exist. Perhaps you can find a better match Biologically, chlorhexidine is effective against MRSA, based on the studies I have done. I guess we'll find out.
