Do the teeth on this comb rotate? Is their construction solid?

They don't rotate at all. The combs are made of a very durable material. The teeth are available in two sizes, making them ideal for removing those tough knots and combing through to prepare your pets for grooming.

Is it possible to use this for fleas as well?

I don't think it's a good idea to use this to get rid of fleas because the teeth are too far apart.

Will removing the tangles and knots from a long-haired dog take a long time?

It takes a few minutes to feel for knots and tangles, then apply a small amount of dry conditioner to each knot or tangle. When you comb your hair in the same direction as it grows, knots and tangles will eventually loosen up.

This comb is a little larger than I expected, but it's still comfortable to hold and use. It's more effective than the previous pet comb I had. Because the comb "teeth" are spaced differently, I can use the wider comb teeth if my cat's long coat is more knotted, then switch to the more closely spaced comb teeth to comb the undercoat.
