Maine Coon cats abound in our household. that like to be brushed in general, but this tool is different. It removes all the mats while causing no discomfort to the cat when used gently. If one tries too hard, however, he or she will fail. The cat is going to be irritated by it.
It is easy to use and fits comfortably in the hand. The tangles are cut through. Cut out tangles with scissors if they're really bad.
What an ingenious idea. My aussiedoodle developed mats, and the groomer told me she'd have to shave her, which I didn't want. I tried detangling it with detangler, but it was too much for my furbaby, whereas this tool glides right through the mats. She doesn't have to be shaved, which is great.
Unfortunately, the blades aren't sharp enough to cut through mats larger than an inch in diameter. Because my cat refuses to be combed, matting has been a major issue since he was a kitten. The blunt-tipped scissors work better; I can cut them off before he realizes what's happened. Please accept my condolences to the producer.
I've been a professional groomer for over 40 years and needed a tool to replace my Oster 9 (long blade) dematter, which is no longer manufactured. This does a decent job, but it falls short of the Oster. This type, regardless of brand, will never perform as well as a long blade at dematting, especially in long hair.
Perfect for removing matts from tight spaces while also being strong enough to handle larger matts. Thank you for your quick delivery and excellent price.
The item was designed to be used by someone who is left-handed. Why the item is set up for 10 of the population I have no idea why the item is set up for 10 of the population I have no idea why the item com br>br>Switching the blades is a difficult and dangerous process. The blades are extremely small and difficult to place in the correct position. After a half-hour of fiddling with it and bending a blade to get it set up for my right-handedness, it became clear that this item is a piece of garbage that belongs in the trash.
With four poodles, this is extremely useful! Because of their active playing, their hair always gets tangled in some place, and it works great. I have a similar one with fewer blades, but this one is far superior because I like to comb them daily with a greyhound comb to remove any tangles or mats when they first begin to demat. I have a number of Master Grooming tools that have served me well. Thank you so much for a fantastic product!.
