The food on this bag was part of a plan to get my cat well again after she's been experiencing digestive issues for the past 3 years! I'm glad I tried it! Thanks a lot, I'm so happy I discovered it! suffered from severe and chronic IBD (those last two years have been hell), and this food, san ren tang (Chinese herbal formula), glutamine mixed with slippery elm bark as a gruel, has greatly helped. She has become an incredible pooper now that we are pooping her twice daily! She looks better and has more energy and a brighter face, and her poos are beautiful! In addition to her vomiting stopping, she has also stopped crying. These freeze dried nuggets from Stella & Chewy are the best! They should be the top choice for kitty diets!.
Well, it seems that almost all of our cats enjoy this digestive version of Stella & Chewy The chewy, but it did nothing to help our poopy cat who we bought this for, and in fact, even after introducing it to him over the course of two weeks, made him worse. During the second week, after 3 days into this diet, he turned his behind into a water hose when we got to 1/2 of it! Despite continuing to give it a few more days, I had to give up food and go back to only the regular stella & jenny. The chewy that didn't cure him at least kept him from piddling around in dirty water by keeping his poo like mashed potatoes. This food was supposed to help him because it was made up of animal enzymes, but it did not. It ended up that I found a new food that my diabetic cat really liked, so it wasn't all bad. His poops are a little stinkier but nothing out of the ordinary and his blood sugar stays low with this food and his zero carb wet.
