Although my cat is extremely healthy, growing quickly, and I only provide her with raw meat and Primal Nuggets, I cannot say that she is doing well. This is an excellent product for which I purchase mainly the pork, salmon/chicken, and beef Anyone with an animal who needs special dietary care should consider it. Whether you give them dry food as their only food or also feed them canned food or dried food depends on how you use it. When you multiply 3 cats by 3 pellets per day, you get 9 pellets per day, which means that your 14 oz bag will be gone in less than a week. The update for Friday, May 8, 2019 is After contacting Primal about the change in formula, they denied any changes however, when I sent the photos of the different bags and ingredients, they admitted the change was made. In order to work with the producers, green beans were replaced with celery because of sourcing issues, as well as rosemary extract, which is a natural preservative. * As of 5/1/19, I found that the formula for pork There is an orange bag carrying the old formula. In the bag with the light orange color is the new formula. This is how the formula worked in the old days The tocopherols are mixed in the green beans.
A new formula has been developed which replaces those above *Our cat will not taste it even though it's organic celery and organic rosemary extract. The new formula will not be eaten regardless of whether there is nothing else to eat.
Primal Nuggets are a big favourite in our house, and we have been buying the chicken/salmon formula for a little This time we decided to try another flavor. We had previously tried the Beef flavor, so we decided to try a new one this time. In addition to that, we found that the nuggets were difficult to break up, so feeding time was kind of a challenge. Nuggets of pork are a little denser than those of chicken and salmon, but not quite as densely packed The Beef is also a type of meat. An excellent balance has been struck. Despite mixing the Chicken and Pork nuggets with the same amount of water, we noticed that the Pork nuggets seem to give our cats more food than Chicken (as you can see by mixing them with the same amount of water), and they really enjoy Pork food is something we will go back to again despite having to chase our cat around the bowl to make sure she finishes it all. We usually have to chase our cat around to make sure she eats the Chicken & Salmon food.
With Primal freeze dry, my Maine Coon cat has been cured of IBD and her diarrhea has been stopped. Almost all flavors are good to her, and most of the time she consumes every bit of her food. This is something my cat enjoys a lot. Our vet looked at different options for her rather than the prescription vet food, and said this would be more nutritious for her than the vet food she is currently on. As expected, it took her a day to get into her new food, but now she is so excited for her meals. The present I got for her made me happy.
I put it out for my cats to play with. They both quickly ran away. Since I tried so many times, I had to throw it out, so I guess I'll toss the whole bag and not order Primal from Amazon ever The 30 bucks went to waste.
There is nothing like this food for my cat. When I ran out of Primal you could feed her canned food for about a week, and she ate it just fine, but didn't seem all that interested in it. Suddenly, though, her whole furry little face lit up as soon as I pulled this bag out of the bag. At mealtimes, she comes up with all kinds of chatter, and the best part is, this food is so good for her. Now that her fur has returned to softness and she has plenty of energy, she is very happy.
