Questions & Answers

Why is apple cider included in Instincts raw dog food to improve gut health?

Hello, my name is Missy, and I work for Instinct, a company that sells apple cider vinegar, which is thought to have a variety of health benefits. Specifically, it aids in the maintenance of the body's pH, which aids digestion and is essential for gut health!

Would these be a good source of fiber for my puppy's diet?

It's been a lifesaver for my elderly dog, who is suffering from degenerative myelopathy, which is causing him to lose feeling and muscle control in his back legs. At each meal, I give him about 8 pieces - More than that is excessive (the stool will be far too soft). If your dog appears to be in good health, intestines are in good shape - I'd start with just a few pieces per meal and see how things go. If your dog is suffering from constipation, there are a few things you can do to help him. I'd say I'd give it a 7 out of 10. 8 servings (for a 40-person party) Per meal, a 50-pound dog is fed. If it's just a "treat" - go ahead and do it. If you're rough with them, you'll end up with a lot of poop.

Is your skin in good shape?

The salmon ones (skin) are what I've used so far. Immune Health (coat), the ones for gut health None of the three have a particularly strong odor. (I believe it is because they are dry) All of my dogs enjoy them. Because this company no longer manufactures biscuits, I'm using them for treats. (They get a three.) Because they are small, I only give them four pieces at a time.) They seem to work well as a treat, despite the fact that they are primarily intended to be a "topper" for their food.

Sprinkles that are great for enticing people to eat more
4/5

When my dog decides his food isn't good enough for him, I crumble a small handful of these little marshmallow-looking nuggets over it. He's a little king, and if his kibble isn't decorated, he won't eat it. But I understand that as he gets older, he'll have to eat a lot of supplements that he doesn't think are particularly tasty. br>br>Every now and then, I'll make him a soup to mix into his kibble. I do occasionally buy canned dog food, but it is bulky and inconvenient to store. These make it easier for me to do my job. I can't comment on how beneficial they've been because I can't afford to feed the recommended amount of these pricey nugs (don't worry, my dog takes a good joint supplement every day. ) )br>br>These are very convenient, good quality, and the little king said he likes them for what I use them for, which is basically yummy little sprinkles of treats. When you crumble them, they don't contain any sharp bone fragments like Stella and Chewy's, which is a plus if you're grossed out by that.

It's a great product, but it's a little pricey, which I understand
5/5

It's food that hasn't been cooked yet. This food topper makes my dogs go craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I have to use it as a treat rather than a "food topper" because there is so little of it, but I still feel good knowing I'm giving them something good in addition to their nugs; I'd rather pay more for a healthy treat and know they're getting something great than crap. I wish I could afford to serve this as a food topping for them, but who can? Who knows how many people can afford to feed their dogs raw meat? Half of the time, I can't even afford to feed myself that way (LOL). I believe that a lot of it is just hype. For centuries, dogs in the wild survived on small amounts of food, and the animals they killed weren't cows or chickens. If you make a wise decision, I believe you will be fine. ensuring that you can locate a high-quality dog food that provides them with the nutrients they require I will, however, continue to give it to them as a go-to resource. to "cure".

For those with sensitive stomachs, this is not a good choice
3/5

Because my dog's stomach is so sensitive, she can't eat a lot of things without experiencing negative side effects. After doing some research and consulting with a veterinarian, I attempted to give this to my dog in the hopes of improving her gut health. I began by giving her only a few pieces, hoping to ease her into it. Unfortunately, the few pieces she had caused her to have gas and have a soft stool. This is something I will not buy again.

My dogs love these treats because they are their favorite, they are made with good ingredients, and they are non-addictive
5/5

br>I give two to my miniature dachsund (female, almost four years old) and one to my small lab (female, ten years old). My male standard dachsund enjoys them as well, but I find that they are particularly beneficial to females, and even more so to those with sensitive livers (like my lab) or joints (like my minidachsund). Turmeric is without a doubt the best spice on the planet. br>br>These treats are excellent for concealing medications (both tablets and drops). br>I also use them to flavor regular food from time to time. I simply crush one and sprinkle it over my meal. br>br>However, regardless of how much your dogs beg for more, it's critical to stick to the maximum dosage. If my dogs gain weight for any reason, I stop giving them treats for a few days, and I've noticed that these particular ones have another quality: They're not at all addictive; they're delicious, and dogs adore them, but they won't go insane if they don't get them every now and then, which is excellent and speaks to the quality of the ingredients. br>br>I'm glad they're on Amazon's autoship program.

For the past two years, I've been purchasing once a month
5/5

I’m committed to this product and’my dog truly enjoys it 99% of the time I get the highest quality product and’my dog truly enjoys it. I usually get him the chicken kind or the gut health kind, the latter being more common because his stomach is sensitive and the pumpkin in it helps him a lot with digestion and regularity! I've only ever been disappointed once in the last two years of faithful monthly committed purchases, and that was when I ordered the Beef flavored mixers. I'm not sure what happened, but they arrived dry as the Sahara, rock hard- every little kibble was solid as stone, and I didn't have the positive experience I usually have with this brand, but because it was a one-time experience, I didn't bother the company about it and purchased another bag this month. I use these to give my dog his medications in a specific manner, and he will not let me use anything else. Other freeze dried treats don't seem to be made with the same care, and it shows in the overall quality, smell, and feel of this product! I'm a big fan of Instinct Raw Boost Mixers, and I'll probably keep buying them until my senior dog crosses the rainbow bridge because there's nothing else that can successfully make his medications taste as bearable and seemingly GOOD as these do. This product comes highly recommended from me.

It's a hit with the dogs, and it's also good for their digestion! These are a big hit with my dogs! And it's because of the results that I'm a fan
5/5

I can't tell you how helpful this will be if you have breeds that are extremely diet sensitive. Even if this product is distributed infrequently and in likely inconsistent quantities - Both my Pug and Boston Terrier have experienced a significant change. Both are on low-carbohydrate diets - They immediately accepted this product, and it is unquestionably a kibble treat for them. The ingredients piqued my interest, but it was my dogs' excitement and the fact that it helped their digestive systems that kept me buying! This is a fantastic product that I wholeheartedly recommend!.

My dog enjoys his meals because they are different
5/5

These are a hit with my dog! I had never seen this variety in the store before and was eager to give it a try. To keep my dog interested in his meals, I like to mix in a few freeze-dried nuggets of various flavors to his food. My dog loves this flavor. I was also impressed that, despite shipping with large, heavy items, they arrived in perfect condition. I've had to return similar chewy products in the past because they arrived dusty, but not this time!.

These are a big hit with Fussy Dog
5/5

I bought this on the spur of the moment - My small dog isn't a big fan of a lot of things - These are her absolute favorites - They also fit perfectly in her small kong ball, which is an added bonus! a couple of snacks at the end - This is enough to convince me to buy them - The Kong treats are pricey, and my dog isn't a fan of them - It's a win-win situation with this product.
