I bought Ticked Off, but it was too bulky, and a tick needed to be quite large to catch on. It was difficult to use, so I went looking for one that my veterinarian had. The one I think works best is described below.br>I bought a Tick Twister pro, which is ideal for removing small ticks and holding them until you can get rid of them. My recommendation is that you track down a Tick Twister pro and purchase it. It's Veterinary Approved and a lot more convenient to use. Simply slide the hook under the tick, twist a little but do not pull on the tick, and the entire tick, including the head, will come out. I hope you find this information useful.

When a tick is attached to the body of a person or an animal, the tick remover is used. Tick numbers have been at an all-time high in the last few weeks. We have two short-haired dogs (a Ridgeback and a Blackmouth Cur) who spend most of their time indoors but spend time outside hiking and playing. Despite the fact that we spend a lot of time grooming them for ticks in order to catch them before they embed, we still get a variety of ticks, including those that are newly embedded, partially full, and fully engorged. There were no full-sized dog ticks among the smaller ticks. After reviewing all of the tick products available on Amazon, I decided to place an order for a large quantity. The Tick Key, Coghlan's Tick Remover, Ticked Off, Ticklasso, and the Tick Twister are all items that can be used to remove ticks. br>br>While Ticked Off and other groove-based tools work fine, hair can get caught in the grooves and cause minor non-functionalities. Twist out bloated ticks and pass multiple times (or give up and grab the lasso). They're an improvement over nothing, but they're no match for the lasso. Ticklasso is the best for reliably removing small ticks, regardless of engorgement level, of the varieties listed above. It takes a little longer to lasso them than it does to line up any of the grove style removers (Tick Key, Ticked Off, Tick Twister), but they always come off in one piece, and none of them slip away once they're on. For fully engorged ticks, those may be a little faster and more effective, but the lasso is SO much better on not-full and small ticks that it's by far the best for us.
