This is the simplest and most accurate tick remover we've used; I've tried three other types and none of them successfully removed the entire tick while it was still alive and intact; we've successfully removed four ticks with this device thus far.
This device is incredible! We live in a wooded area where there are a lot of ticks. They manage to find my dog despite the fact that she wears a flea/tick collar. I've had to remove three ticks from her in the month I've had it. This is usually a two-man job. My husband took it away from her while I was holding her. I was able to get the last three out on my own, and I did so without difficulty! My dog doesn't cry, and the tick comes out in its entirety. This is something I've been mentioning to everyone!.
I bought this tick remover and a cheaper pick type remover at the same time, and the cheaper pick works much better. With the Coghlans remover, it's difficult to get a good grip.
You'll have to turn it slowly, but it'll work! Head and body are removed from the equation.
It's the most effective tick-removal product available. Down the line, please.
It really works. Before twisting, make sure it's all the way down. I've been using it on my dogs for years and it's worked great.
