A few times he choked on his food and vomited as a result! Emergency assistance was needed a few times as well! He has been using the slow feeder for over a month and he has not vomited or choked on the food. It takes him almost 5 minutes to eat the same amount of food. very thankful to be able to feed my dog now knowing that he can eat without any of us having to be on guard for I appreciate your kind words.

Chihuahuas are very fast eaters, and one of my 3 chihuahuas will devour her food in just 3 seconds, then wait for leftovers next to the other two animals. Slow her down for a minute when she eats this bowl. Apparently our dog was getting a little chunky so the vet recommended it since we felt sorry for her over a long period of time We gave her more food to give her a boost of energy. She was still starving so we gave her Having her walk slowly will make her feel as if she is receiving more, so we won't feel so guilty when she doesn't have enough food. Her first reaction was to run out of the room, but she immediately jumped back in. The curves between her flanks seem to be working, she is getting the results she wants. You can easily clean it, it is BPA free, and it is more affordable than stainless steel. The product has been a good buy for us.

My other cat has been consumed with the urge to suck down all of the food since I brought him home. I have given them two separate dishes and they still eat both of them. The problem is, he is struggling, as you can see. Unless he has fine motor skills, he might need to improve his paw skills. It concerns me that his teeth and gums could come into contact with the protrusions when he tries to eat. In the beginning, his teeth were not very good. My feeling is that I will waste some food if I add something to make it more accessible. As he obtains a grasp of it, we'll see how it goes.

I really like this and think it's made really well. This slow feed bowl was introduced to me by Jackson Galaxy's show My Cat from Hell (a terrible title for a show that is both interesting and educational). The item I purchased was for my chubby former-self A feral boy who doesn't believe he'll ever get another meal, despite the fact that I've never been late for mealtime in my entire life. The bowl is just too tall for him to reach the food within. This wasn't what I had hoped for, but I still had high hopes. It comes with additional rubber in case it gets worn off and has great dimensions, rubber grips on the bottom and a lot of rubber to protect against scratches. I think it will last for a long time for dogs because it feels sturdy.

Among my five dogs, I have one dish that is supposed to slow down how much they eat. There was no such thing. This UPSKY Slow Feeder Small Dog Bowls Non Slip Puzzle Bowl Fun Feeders is among the things I bought. I now feed the last dog while the first is still eating when I feed the first. It's a hallelujah! My dogs can't keep up with them because these dishes are sluggish. In terms of weight, they are lightweight, and I would not want to throw them across the kitchen since they might crack, but as a food dish that isn't a toy, they work fine. My huge dog often chokes when he eats, so I bought this to prevent him from choking on food. His food is gobbled up without much chewing and he chokes on it every time. He likes the color and the design of the feed. It's very sturdy and helps with his choking. It didn't take Lucian long to figure out that he could turn it over to get all the food on the ground, but that's something he only does occasionally. Thank you for making this product available.

It surprised me that the number was so high The product quality is very high. At first I thought that I purchased a too big size, but it fits me even though I am 9 pounds. When it comes to chihuahuas, it really works. As a result, it caused his eating to slow down at least four times, so he now only takes about five minutes to eat. He chews on his kibble to finish it. As you can see from the picture, the kibble isn't quite as easy to remove as I thought it would be because of its size, but in truth, it's not so easy to get it out. The process of getting kibble for your pup adds a fun element to their mealtime. As you can see in the second photo, we used both the original (pink) bowl as well as the water bowls. This is a slow feeder I recommend.

In any case, this would have been great if I received the SMALL PET bowl that I ordered -- you know the one, specifically meant for cats and small animals, with cats in the product's image. now, when I search for the listing I ordered, it shows up as a listing for dogs, and that is not what I ordered. It was very deliberate on my part to choose an SMALL bowl because I knew I'd be feeding my cat from it. I'm not sure what I received, but it looks like it's made for horses. Anyhow, this seems to be feasible provided the food bowl is always kept open 100% of the time so my cat can still reach the food (since he's not a big dog). Because my chunky cat actually eats out of it, I'll give it 2 stars, but because he has to almost completely fill it in order to even reach, I'm doubtful how much it will really slow down his pace. The 7 dollar price tag is really annoying, but I guess you can't expect much when it's that low. In short, don't buy this for cats, you need something smaller, but if you need it for a dog, it'll probably work just.
