At the moment, I have a St Bernard puppy who chokes on his food every time he eats. The bowl can hold 2 cups of food per meal, and he gets about that much in a typical meal. As long as he slows down a bit before he outgrows the dish, I suppose I can always top it up with additional food as he grows. It has a pretty color. I put the bowl up and offered it to him for breakfast and he ate it. He was unsure of it at first and didn't eat his dinner out of it, so I put it up and gave it to him for dinner. An age 13-year-old child recently came into my life He is a Chihuahua mix that is one year old. Ten of his teeth were removed before he was given to me and he was neutered before I got him. As a result of the anesthetic, he developed esophagitis, which is a condition that makes it difficult for him to swallow. When I bought my first one, it was blue with a circle, which I thought was abusive since it required my baby to eat for almost 20 minutes. I ordered this one there and then since I was told it was only about 1 inch deep. The hole may be 5 to 2 inches deep, but it does slow her to about 4 miles per hour At least she doesn't have to consume her food by osmosis anymore!
