A friend of mine gave me these for her 11 month-old cat who eats like there is someone stealing her food. ) I got them for her. I have had her for three months and she is from a rescue, however, she still eats at such a fast pace that As she eats her canned food slowly across the mat, I spread it out across the mat like this. She grazes on her dry food, so I'm sure it would work with dry food, too. are relatively easy to wash off, except that the bumpy side is not as easy to clean. The food gets so far into the cracks there that the cat can't reach all of it when I put it there. In fact, I usually don't put food on that side.

will not seem like the suction cups will work at first, but if you wash them in water for a couple minutes, then the cups will stick down really well to a hard floor and won't move. My dog tried for five minutes to get it all up off the mat by licking it from the bottom up with a tiny bit of peanut butter and a tiny bit of plain yogurt. It was a big hit. Although it is a little hard to clean and remove all the food from the cells of the lick mat, I came up with a solution of spraying it with hot water in the sink to remove it A perfect 5 out of 5.

Using these with my cat is a great idea

This is a very inexpensive product. It works well. This includes everything you see in the picture. They come with two mats and a spatula, which is a nice touch. Making getting the soft food from the can and spreading it onto the mat well ensures that my cat gets the full benefit. Do seem to reduce her anxiety a bit and even help her to sit still while eating, which is a good thing. Remove them with a spray bottle. Having never tried putting them in the dishwasher, I just hand wash them to be on the safe side. They are not dishwasher-friendly, so be aware of that. There is no flaw in the design of these mats, but when your faucet hits them, water pours everywhere. Physicists say that's just the way it is. As soon as I washed them for the first time, I washed them in a lot of water. Prepare to be sprayed everywhere because they will certainly do that.
