A new puppy in our family is ringing the bell to go out, so we are teaching him to do that. I am able to get my dog to sound the bell pretty easily because it has a nice, clear ring. It doesn't matter what type of dog I have, he picks it up in his mouth to take to his dogbed, believing it's a toy. In order to hold the bell in place, we had to 3D print a design. There is definitely a great bell about it, but I think it could be made even better if it could be mounted to the floor, the wall, the gate, or the door.
