It was super easy to potty train my Border Collie when we first got her. She would scratch at the back door to let us know she's going outside. Her one day weight only weighed 6 pounds and she didn't cause any damage to the door, so I initially praised her for this. I mean, my door is heavily scratched with deep deep scratches, now that she is a 40# 2 year old. As soon as we got our Corgi puppy just a couple weeks ago, I wanted to teach her another method of alerting us that she needed to go outside. I ordered these potty bells because they are pretty cool. She grasped the concept right away, she knows what "touch" means, so teaching her was simple and she now uses the bells with her nose, instead of scratching the door, every time. In the case of the pup, she took a little longer, but we picked her up every time we went in or out and nudged the bells with her nose (by the way, definitely get the two pack so both the inside and outside of your door are equipped with bells). It took only a few days for her to start ringing the bells on her own whenever she wanted to do something. One of the things that annoys me is that sometimes the bell swings in the way when I close the door, which causes me to shut With Command hooks, this problem can be fixed by hanging the bells further towards the middle of the door. If you want to, you can hang them on a wall by the front door. The act of doing so hasn't yet occured to me. This is a really good set of products.
It has been more than two months since I purchased the potty bells, but my dog still does not pick She refused to use them for the first 3 weeks of training with the bells that were provided to me. In the future, I will visit their website and follow the training tips As a result, she will only use the bells if I am standing right next to the door and she will still do everything she can to avoid touching It seems that she does not like the sound of the bells, especially when she does use them. I think she hits it with the lightest touch so that it won't make any sound. Their design is nice and I am sure other dogs will like them as well. There should have been all the training tips provided I shouldn't have to go on the website to learn how to use their product. I cannot give them more than a 3 star rating due to the lack of information regarding training for the product. If that makes you mad, worry about.
This product sat on my desk waiting for me to review it so that I could see if it would work for our new furry friend. I laughed when I read the funny package information that came with Potty Bells. I have a little yorkie puppy that needs potty training, so I was looking for something that could help. The first time she played with them, she was just making a lot of noise. As she tugged, growled, and rattled the bells like crazy, she made a lot of noise. Sometimes she would call them five minutes after coming back in over and over despite us letting her out every time. The constant repetition of them was getting me nuts, and I wondered whether they would simply become a toy for her in perpetuity. As a matter of sanity, I'd tie them up for a few days and then let them go. In the last few weeks, she has started to use the potty about 75% of the time she rings the bell. That's a good chance from what I can tell. Although she rings it often, sometimes she just wants to go outside and She turns around and looks at me with that "are you going to let me out" look when she rings the bell. The new potty training program will be a great help and it will make potty training a lot easier.
My dog has been my lifelong companion, but I haven't had a puppy in over a decade. Our 3 month old puppy is now going to them to signal that she wishes to go outside on day 2 with these hanging on the front door. I was sceptical when I heard about these, however now she goes to them and nudges them when she wants I found those directions to be too basic, but that is all I It was thought that she was just playing with them one time when she went up and nudged the bells after she had only been outside for 15 minutes. It was our fault that we ignored the signal, because 3 minutes later we found a few tokens of love lying on the carpet right outside the front We are only doing the front door for now, since she does not have access to all areas of the house yet. When I purchased the 2 pack, I thought I would hang one on the front door, and another on the back.
When she wakes up, we take her outdoors as soon as possible. Once a day, we then take her outside. This is the 5th and final chapter In two hours after that, she emptied herself through the same door every time. As soon as she received the bells, we touched her paw and nose to them so she could ring them herself as she said When she first started going out, you couldn't see her unless she was standing by the door. Before a slight accident would happen, she was still in the dark. Several times since the bells were placed in her mouth, the pup went outside every time she used the bells! On either hand, the puppy is either a genius or the Your help is greatly appreciated!.
I can think of one problem that may be worked around by including a small sticky or velcro during installation, but it will be bought separately and added by me. During closing, the door swings inside, and the bells on the outside beat into the jam and are I am closing the door very slowly now, so that this does not happen. However, I plan to put on sticky or velcro to keep the strap from coming into contact with the frame when the door is opened normally. *additional information*additional information I've since found a powerful magnet salvaged from an old hard drive that works well with the bells. Even if the bells come loose, they stick to the magnet and stay there.
After hanging them up, our dogs noticed it made a lot of noise, so when they needed to go out, they would bite at them. I found the volume to be just right for them to hear. A white one hangs inside and a black.
I like how the product was made and it sounds good. That's all well. It's a nice way to start the holiday season. My service dog Lucy will not miss a potty call if it's loud and nice. One of the things I appreciate most is receiving the email follow up after the sale to let me know they arrived and then being contacted again to ensure all is There are a lot of perks for customers and for this company. With these guys, you can't go wrong.
