It turned out the bells were a great way to let us know that my puppy needed to potty. He had become really adept at potty training, but couldn't tell us when he had to go outside. The solution worked perfectly. There is a pretty large and loud bell near the middle of this circle. My house is very quiet on another floor. I can hear them from another floor. In the beginning, my puppy was terrified of them but I spent time teaching him to be comfortable with them. My first step was to lay them on the floor and reward him every time he went to inspect them. (I would say "Good boy" each time he went to inspect them. I believe & We got a treat out of it). I rewarded him whenever he touched the bell (and he jumped back) and soon he touched the bell again. It took him a little time to detach himself from my fear, so I hung the bells on the door and sat near My reward to him each time he touched them was to touch them. probably happened over the course of 30 minutes or so Approximately 45 minutes. As the days went by, he became less and less fearful of the loud noise). After that, we spent the rest of the day touching the bells to signal to him to go outside and he began to follow suit. It has been 3 weeks and there hasn't been one accident. (You can watch some great videos online for tips on bell training. )
it is still going strong. As a point of reference, my puppy was 13 weeks old when we started training with the bells. They seem to be of good quality. The bells and nylon strap they are attached to, similar to dog leashes, seem sturdy as well. Although it is a bit long, this does not cause any issues. Currently, I have my pup wearing the lowest set. They do not bother me in any way. In the end, I did remove them from the doorknob. Since there is a lot of traffic at this entrance, I didn't want to confuse the puppy. Rather than hanging them on the wall by the door, I hung them on the wall next to it. I really like it.

In place of a towel I left at a hotel, this one replaces the other. In a short period of time, our pup was able to learn how to use it. What it means is that the pup could tell us when he wanted out to go to the bathroom. That does not mean that he did not make messes, it just means that he could communicate with us. Messes made by the dog were usually caused by the dog getting angry with us, or simply being scared to go outside for some reason (noises, bug spray, etc. ) or just not being able to hold it until he reached It occurred a few times that the dog would go on the rug right in front of the door because the dog could no longer hold it, similar to a child that knows it is time to go right before it has to. If you take your time, reinforce positively, and spend time on it, you should start seeing real results right away. There is no guarantee this will stop mess creation. You do not want your dog to clean up after himself nor do you want him to do so. So be kind and gentle when dealing with the messes.

It is easy to hear bells in any part of the house because they are loud. Install was very easy and I was able to adjust the straps as I wished if I wanted the bells higher or lower. The bells are easy to use and made of sturdy materials (still training my puppy to use them, but it does not take much to make the bells.

After we bought it, it took the dog about three days to figure out how to use it and alert us when she needed to go outside. There is still a lot more learning to be done by the other 2 dogs.

Our dog never received any training or instruction on how to use the product. I was amazed at how quickly he picked up on the concept! There are times when he rings the bell in order to go outside and play, but we don't mind that at all! This is just a reminder that he needs to expel some energy!.

I bought these bells at an excellent price and they fit perfectly around my front door knob, reaching almost to the ground where my seven-month-old puppy can reach them. I will not be upset if they get damaged or chewed up because the value is so great.

Additionally, the bell works well with all sizes of dogs and, although it was a bit long for our door, we were able to shorten it by looping the end around the knob. In addition, after installing this product, the door knob will not be blocked by the thin, but still sturdy product! The training for our six-month-old dog really was as simple as having him touch it before going outside - and now he does the whole thing.
