This gate will fit both of your doorways if you follow the installation instructions. My door is about 29 inches wide, and I have mine installed in it. 75 inches wide (remember, the distance between the two walls/flat surfaces is what counts, not the size of the door). Most door frames are symmetrical, with a central stop narrowing the opening on one side and an "empty" door width opening on the other. Due to the size of my door, I had to place this gate on the "far side" of the stop rather than the more natural location on the stop. br>br>As long as the distance between the flat installation surfaces meets their specifications, you should be fine with either door.

When you close your door, it hits a door stop strip in the middle of the frame. After you close your door, there should be about 1 1/2" or slightly wider frame space on the outside. The gate contact points that come into contact with the sides are 1, 2, and 3. The diameter is 5 inches. This should easily fit on the outside of your door stop (the part of the door frame outside the closed door) and allow you to close your door from the other side up to the frame stop. My standard doors are compatible with it.

This appears to be a high-quality product thus far. br>Setup was simple and quick. br>At first, it appeared flimsy and prone to breaking at the expansion sections, but that was simply due to the fact that I had overlooked a couple of brackets that would have made those sections far more sturdy. br>My only gripe was that the length of the product description was calculated WITHOUT the additional spacing sections. Fortunately, everything came together perfectly. br>Because it is on the shorter side, it isn't the best option for you if your dog jumps things easily and is intelligent enough to do so. If you have a tall child, If you're strong enough to climb it, you shouldn't need to use baby gates any longer. br>In general, I was pleased with the product. br>br>Update: BUYER BEWARE: Astroblade Trading was the product's seller, and they sent me the wrong gate after they realized they didn't have any more of the gates I ordered. They offered me a small discount to keep the product I couldn't use when I requested a return or refund. br>They finally told me to return the product, but they wouldn't let me proceed to the amazon site to print the free return label. I suppose they expected me to cover the cost of the return. br>After contacting them two more times and receiving no response, I was forced to file a claim with Amazon. If the seller is selling Astroblade trading, do not buy!.
All of the Features I Was Looking For! Upon arrival, I was pleased with the gate; it appeared to be solid, well-made, with a nice finish, and was well-packaged, among other things. However, upon installation, the fixed side of the latch sat higher than the swinging side. This means that the gate can still be closed and latched, but the auto-latch system will not work. The close/latch function was ineffective (it bounced back without latching). When I contacted Cumbor, I received a prompt response with a request for a video of the closing/latching problem. Cumbor quickly offered to send a replacement gate after I gave him this information. The replacement gate arrived quickly and without a hitch, and it performs exactly as it should. br>br>The photo depicts a more temporary installation that does not include the cups on the wall. I redid the installation with the new gate and cups and am very pleased with the results. The gate swings in both directions, holds open at 90 degrees in both directions, and closes/latches automatically in either direction. When it auto closes/latches from 90 degrees, it's a little loud, but that's to be expected. If you have a sleeping baby, simply close it softly. br>br>With the replacement unit, the installation was fairly simple and straightforward. br>br>Perfect gate for my needs and excellent customer service; I would confidently recommend Cumbor as a supplier of this product.
I purchased it with the intention of using it on autopilot. I'm glad I chose this over cheaper gates because it has a close feature. It was simple to set up, and I was able to do so in a matter of minutes. It was simple to set up. by applying pressure in a certain way mount, and it appears to be quite reliable. Drilling into the wall for a more secure installation is also an option, but it was not required in this case. The lock appears to be very secure, and I believe it would be difficult for toddlers to open. I also tried the less expensive Regalo, but this is far superior because the Regalo's lock mechanism was too easy for toddlers to open and felt very flimsy. It has a more solid feel to it now.
Installing as described would be nearly impossible. It doesn't fit my door frame because it's too small for the extended version and too big for the standard version. As a result, I have to extend the bolts quite far. I'm guessing you're on the verge of being too safe. It's strong enough to hold it up, but it irritates me that I can't install it without leaving large gaps on the sides; the pressure required to properly align and install the gate is harsh. It's essentially a two-person operation. It comes with a tab that you are not supposed to cut, but they have a bad user interface designer who has clearly never seen a 'caution' sign or the use of red to indicate a warning. Even if you don't cut the tab by accident like I did the first time, you'll still have to squeeze it yourself if you want a decent installation, or at least that's what I'm guessing. Overall, I gave this a one-star rating due to the inconvenient installation process and the loudness of the slamming door. However, I decided to give it three stars because it does exactly what it claims to do. That's more than a lot of products nowadays. And, unfortunately, I believe it does it better than some of the competitors. But, before you buy, I'd suggest taking a look around and seeing what else is available.
This gate is exactly what I needed for keeping my dogs in or out. If I closed my bedroom door, the heat from the wood stove in the living room would not reach me, and I would freeze at night, but if I left it open, our large dog could come in and chew up my belongings. He can't get in with this gate, but I can easily get in and out of the swinging door, which automatically closes. It appeals to me.
