The leashes can be easily attached to an Easy Walk harness to keep the dog heeling at my side and to allow me to give an easy correction without having to wrap a long leash around my hand. They come in different lengths to accommodate different heights for whomever walks.
In order to be sure of which length would be best for what I wanted a shorter leash for, I ordered both the shortest and a medium-length leash They seem of decent quality so far, and I haven't put much use into them. Besides the cushioned handle and the cross stitching (which is reinforced if you have a strong dog that pulls), the rest of the bag is well designed. My dog still pulled when I started using a head collar on her when we were walking around the neighborhood My leash was about 4 feet long at the time, so I figured a shorter leash would teach her to walk beside me and not pull and it made a world of difference. Pulling can be reduced through the use of the head collar, but a shorter leash is the most effective. As far as clipping it to the head collar of my dog is concerned, I found that the leash that was shortest was too short. As a reference, I am a 5'4" female with an average build. I couldn't let her sniff the ground with a dog that was the height of my knees. Since I no longer need the large size, I've switched to the medium size. The length of the leash keeps her close to me, yet gives her enough room to sniff at my feet. It served its purpose for me because I kept the shortest leash since I figured I could clip it to the back clip of my dog's harness when we walked short distances, such as from my house to my car in the driveway or when we went to the vet. After I clip it to her back, it's the perfect length and I don't have to bend over to change it. Whenever I remember, I will add photos to this review so you see what I described above in more detail.
Getting in and out of the house is difficult for her and sometimes she needs extra assistance while she is peeing and pooping. The best harness I found didn't have much of a handle when the time came to look for a new harness. A short handle was all that was on her previous harness. Using the 18" leash, I am able to stand straight and support my dog while I am on my feet. With one hand I can grab her harness easily, and I still have both hands on the handle of the leash if I want to change hands. The latch is simple and easy to use, and her harness snaps on easily with one hand. It is wonderful! I am SO pleased with it! As well as using it on my puppy, I've also used it many times. It helps him stay close to me even though he is a little short for the 18" to be comfortable. Although he has repeatedly chewed, I have not even found a single chew mark on this one!.
Ordered in a reasonable time frame, and the collar arrived in good condition. However, the problem occurred when I attached the collar to my labradoodle's During the day, I was on her to correct her while we are in the training room. She decided that the handle was a good chew toy after a short rest. Her only reaction was to chew off the handle of the toy. My dog chews on everything, so I guess he needs to stop chewing before I put a leash around his.
We ordered the 12" for our German Shepherd, and the 18" for our American Bully puppy, and we couldn't be happier with it. It would be nice if I had more than one dog to buy these leashes from this company, especially with their.
Despite liking the overall shape and feel of the leash, I find its weak point to be where you attach the In the picture, the hook points swivel, but it looks like the point that held the spring in place Due to this, I had to deal with my pet getting loose at a very inconvenient time. I have contacted Primal Pet Gear and have yet to hear back from them. The closer this progress gets to its end, the more I will update my review.
The impression I got was impressive. I am impressed with the quality. buckle itself as well as the padding on the handle surprised me with how sturdy they were. My favorite thing about it is when I take my dog out without his leash and I don't have to carry as much leash but if you were to walk your dog normally and needed a sturdy leash to curb a strong dog this would be perfect for you. I recommend it.
It's hard for me to imagine how I ever managed without it. The dog I have is huge, and he pulls a lot. Everything that I've tried has failed. For him to want to exercise for 2 hours a day is just in his nature. It's on his vest so I can quickly grab it in case he wants to kiss a stranger on the mouth or tries to run into traffic as he waits for a green.
