This morning, both of my dogs got to use these. Handles are smooth and easy to use. I find these to work well and to be sturdy. Although there isn't an extra handle so that the hold can be shortened, it's still fine. Especially nice is the smooth handle so it does not catch on my dog's hair when he pulls. Being the owner of two large dogs, it is important to me that the leash I use is durable, heavy duty, and that my dogs will be safe. This twisted, thick leash had a sturdy feel and seemed durable. I am happy with the results in general. The woven leash, however, was not as durable as I had originally expected. I still use it after just a month, and it has frayed from light scrapes against the sidewalk when I let the dog use the full slack of the leash and then I get closer to him.
