There's no leash on this dog The entire process resembles the part of the photo that you see in the photo. It will hold up to your dog chewing, so long as you don't let him chew I have let my Staffy chew it a few times when I wasn't looking and it got a bit frayed, but if you are handy with a sewing machine you can repair the leash to be as good as new (just a bit shorter).
It would make sense to me. It is a plus for me to have a large hand. There is plenty of room for me.

I was very upset when I received this leash because I ordered a 26 foot leash, but I got a 16 foot leash instead. What the heck! After I learn that the extra large is available only in 16, I decide to get the 16-inch version. If you order, you should make sure that is clear! I can say now that I have the leash that it is great. Thanks for making such an awesome product. This leash was pulled across the ground by a Czech Shepherd (similar to a German Shepherd but much more aggressive) more than eight times, chewed on, jumped on, and pulled across the ground, every single time. The other day my dog ran away from me on the beach, dragging my retractable leash through the sand. (We go to the beach every day. ) I thought it had been ruined, but after knocking the sand out of it, it works fine again. You can be sure that if this leash works for my dog, it will work for yours. I highly recommend it!.

One time the leash snapped near the ring, and my dog ran into the street. Two other times the leash snapped near the ring, and my dog ran out into the street. Pictures and all were sent to them via email. He didn't give a damn, not even a reply. Fast forward to the day when I found this leash was made by Kong. Since these toys are the only things my heavy chewer is not able to shred, I knew it had to be strong. The product I have been using for a month has already outlasted flexi by 2 weeks, making it so much easier to handle and more durable. Any dog that is big, strong, and likes to chase after any wildlife it encounters will find this to be the best leash on the market!.
My thumb barely reaches the button unless I handle the handle in a way that's not very natural for me at 6' 2" and 225 pounds unless the button is set too far forward on the leash. A lot of the time it doesn't lock in place either. The weight of my dog is 80 pounds. I have a Doberman that pulls like a freight train, and there are times when I think I've locked the leash, but he pulls and it breaks. I just experienced the same issue as the review 1) I thought Kong products were top-notch.
In the beginning, the leash was incredibly smooth. However, after about a month, it started clicking when you extended and retracted it. There was a problem with mine, but I ordered a replacement, and hopefully my replacement will continue to be smooth for many years. I was surprised to find out that it seems well suited for larger dogs. Despite my dog's size, it seems to hold up well. It is meant for dogs up to 140 lbs and my dog is not that large. It never felt like the brakes were not strong enough or anything like that, but I would like it to last a long time and have smooth braking.
My boyfriend's dog's collar is one size larger than mine, and it's far less durable than the smaller size Kong retractable leash. Besides the leash getting stuck all the time, the button jams, and the circular plastic on the side has ridges for decoration and is rough. It will break your skin if you try to rub against it in the wrong direction. The long absence has made a return too long overdue. Getting the smaller leashes is all you need to do. Garbo is the name of the game. This leash is only 2 stars because it acts like a normal leash in a way.
