We were told not to leave Halties/Gentle Leaders or leashes on service dogs if they were out of our sight when we were raising them for Canine Companions for Independence because they can learn to remove them. Chewing is in the same boat. If you have to keep it on, you might want to invest in a spray that prevents chewing. Better yet, schedule sessions when the dog is unaware that you are present, and squirt them with a 10:1 solution of water and vinegar every time they go to chew. It won't harm them, and it's a great way to discourage bad habits. BUT you must be 100% consistent and do not allow them to see you doing it.
Yes. This is the vest that I use with my service dog. It really works. It appeals to me because I can remove the patches whenever I desire. I'm only going to buy this vest. The quality is excellent, and it is simple to put on and remove. I hope you found this information to be useful. Also, best wishes for your service dog.
A version with all four metal clips has a separate listing. You should be able to find it by searching for "icefang metal clips x4 harness." It's also mentioned in the list's suggestions.
I've had two of these in my life. At four months, my GSD was wearing a medium. By 11 months, he was comfortably in a large with room to grow, weighing 80 pounds. Medium will not be too small for you, but you will eventually need to switch harnesses. Best of luck!

Failure of the Metal Chest Clip 2. D ring thread unraveling in the centerpull 1. Purchased in October of 2018 and delivered in March of 2019 The chest clip made of metal broke. This stuff is going to kill your dog. The Dog is connected to the lead by a D ring. When a dog's harness fails, he or she loses control of the dog, which can be fatal in traffic or in other dangerous situations. This harness would not meet military specifications or K-Security's requirements. Work with a Service Dog if you're under the age of nine. The single stitching at the stress point is a major design flaw, as well as poor quality control in the manufacturing process. The haness was reinforced by me. Because the manufacturing process is subpar, you should inspect your equipment every day before and after service to ensure that your dog is safe. Do not take to the streets until your and your partner's equipment has been thoroughly inspected.
For Dolph, I ordered a size large and it was just right. He's a European Doberman that weighs in at 80 pounds. The smallest of the litter, but everything is fine. Things for Dobermans' large rib cages are difficult to come by. br>While walking on the leash, he's always been a puller, but this has significantly reduced this. He also has a very attractive appearance. br>Now I'm in a much better position to deal with him. It is something that both of us enjoy. Thank you very much! br>.
Dogs to breed! For my two Great Danes, I purchased both of these harnesses at the same time. The IceFang was unquestionably the better harness of the two. It was not only more adaptable to the dogs' various contours, but it also fit better. This is most likely due to a better cut or design. It doesn't rub or ride, so it keeps their fur in good condition while also not irritating them while they're wearing it. The metal front buckles give me peace of mind that they won't break under their heavy pulling, and the front no-pull ring has helped me teach them not to pull on their leash. I particularly like the breathable webbing on the underside, which keeps them cool during the summer. The sizing appeared to be fairly accurate. br>br> The chests of my dogs measured 38 inches across. I needed the XL size because my waist was 39 inches, and I only needed to make minor adjustments to the straps once I got it. Overall, it's an excellent harness that I would recommend to anyone who owns a large dog.
in an XL. So far, everything has gone according to plan. I just got it today and have only fitted it to my 143 pound body. 35" around his torso just behind the armpits, 19-month-old Cane Corso So far, everything appears to be in place. I'll update more later, but I wanted to make sure and share the image now for others' size reference.
I'm a big fan of quick releases. It's simple to put on and take off, but it won't fall off by accident. I got a lot of compliments and questions. It fits my dog well, particularly where the buckles are located. Chaffing is avoided thanks to the fabric overlap. She doesn't scratch or irritate herself in it. I bought a small for my 45-pound mutt. To make it more personal, I added molle packs and patches. I'm constantly being stopped by people who want to know where the harness can be purchased.
Snap closures that are built to last. Metal buckles at the chest, heavy-duty plastic snaps on the sides Easy to wear over-the-knee boots the- the style of the head (There's no need to lift your pup's legs while trying to get them to stay still so you can buckle it. ) ) This one is a piece of cake. Slip it over their head and buckle the sides like a shirt. Done. br>It only takes about ten seconds. It is not a no-pull harness, which is the only disadvantage. br>I believe it was mentioned in the advertisement. My malinois puppy is still learning, and this makes no difference in terms of slowing down his pulling.
Even the combat gear we'd wear in the Marine Corps is comparable. This is a fantastic product that I would strongly recommend to anyone! br>br>Because my Weimaraner has anxiety and trust issues, I prefer that people do not pet her because I am training her to be calm around strangers. This was the ideal opportunity to use some "Do Not Pet" patches to emphasize the point.
For training, I was looking for a good, sturdy vest. A medium-sized harness is worn by our small female American Doberman Pinscher. We bought a medium, which was the perfect size for her! She looks amazing, especially with those metal clips for added durability, which will come in handy during all of the training. I'm very pleased! There isn't anything negative to say.
