I went with the xxs size because the chart said it would fit a 2 pound person. Puppy. Even though there is some adjustment room, it was quite large. I believe the chart that stayed at size xxx is appropriate for a 4-year-old. 6 lb. I believe Puppy was correct, and I hope this information was useful to you.
Hi, I'd recommend measuring your neck and chest to ensure you get the correct size; based on the sizing chart's weight-only sizing chart, I'd recommend an xs. However, measuring would prevent you from having to return the harness and order the correct size.
I was able to make it work on my three-pound kitten; I twisted the buckle straps into the leg holes one at a time. 2 times, then buckle it so that it fits snugly around your neck.
For my Yorkie, who weighs between three and four pounds, I bought an extra small. I wore it over his sweater and it was a perfect fit. I don't use the plastic buckles that are attached to the back of the harness, and there are two metal rings at the end of the same strap. I connect his leash to the metal rings with a snap. The harness is one-size-fits-all and cannot be tightened or expanded. The harness is stylish, well-made, and extremely comfortable. I believe they mention the weight in relation to the size in their write-up; please double-check.

He doesn't tug much, but when he does, the harness doesn't dig into his throat like the one I replaced (which was built way too firm). The front of this harness, which is very soft and ends at the top of his chest as it should, appears to be comfortable for my dog. I gave him a score of 11 on the scale. He has a 5" neck and an 18" belly, and the medium fits him perfectly (he's about 15-inches tall). (18 lbs. ). The size chart that came with the harness is different from the one that is currently available on Amazon, and it appears to be more accurate (I've attached a photo).

The harness is of exceptional quality. If it weren't for the fact that the sizing is horribly off, I would have given this harness 5 stars. We've got a 2-bedroom apartment. He's a 3 pound chihuahua with a 7" neck and a 9" chest, so he's a size XS. However, after reading other reviews, I decided to go with the XXS size because the sizing runs large. Unfortunately, our dog's neck opening is still too wide for him to pull his front legs out while walking, and it hangs at just the right height for him to chew the front of the harness when he sits. We can wrap it around his chest as long as we fasten the velcro to the mesh on the side, which will likely pull the material over time; I'm sure our pup will grow into it eventually, but I'm disappointed that we can't use it right now!.
For my 10-pound miniature dachshund, I purchased a Small harness. Because of their broad chests and short legs, it's difficult to find harnesses that fit dachshunds well, but the EcoBark comes close. It has a small gap around her neck, but it appears to be snug enough elsewhere to prevent her from escaping. She appears to like it, and the velcro closure around the broadest part of her chest is just the right size; however, unlike many other harnesses, this one does not have buckles under the arms. Because the buckles on a previous harness scratched my dog's arms, I was relieved to discover that this one only has mesh padding behind her arms. As another reviewer pointed out, the sizing chart in the package I received differs from the one displayed on the website. In addition, I believe the D rings are too large for the harness's size. They're a little clunky for a small dog, and they barely fit into her leash clip. Aside from that, the EcoBark's fit, color, material, and overall appearance are fantastic, and it will fit doxies who are otherwise difficult to find clothing for.
It just arrived today, and it's way too small, so I went to order a size up, only to be confused when I looked at the same sizing photo again. It's easy to see why when you compare it to the insert that came with my harness. 5 oz. to 5 oz. UPDATE: When our Yorkie outgrew her XXS, I ordered an XS. The XXS (red) and XS (pink) are shown side by side in the attached photos. As you can see, the XS leg holes are a little longer, and the chest piece, as well as the Velcro straps, are slightly longer. br>The harness is still my favorite. I don't have to fight my Yorkie to get it on; simply slip the piece over the legs and you're almost done. For my (now 5 pound) Yorkie, the clips and Velcro are extremely secure. We have to tighten the velco to its maximum tightness if she tries to bite the front of the neck, but it works. Her front legs don't go all the way through her neck, and she doesn't scratch it or try to shake it off. The mesh is neither too thin nor too thick, and it appears to be both soft and durable.
My dog is a 5 pound maltipoo who can wiggle out of straps, so I like that this has fabric and is a reasonable price. The only xsmall option when I ordered was light blue. I like how bright it is, but I wish it was pink for her. Finally, despite being an xsmall, it is a little loose, as other reviews have stated. I wish the Velcro area was larger so that I could cinch it down even tighter. It would also be ideal if the clip strap could be made shorter so that it fits more snugly.
