Questions & Answers

Our dog is seated in the backseat of our pickup truck. up truck. Is this ramp going to fit through the side door? We have an 80-pound yellow lab. ?

This ramp is unable to be used on the side door of my 2004 Jeep Cherokee. For my lab to come up and down, I need to put it in the back. It won't fit because the Jeep doors don't open all the way. This would be ideal if your door opens up to a 90-degree angle. If the door opens less than that or is small, such as on a Jeep, the ramp may not fit. Overall, the ramp is excellent, and the dog enjoys it greatly. It's tough, portable, and simple to fold and unfold.

Is this ramp long enough for a dog to use inside to get on and off a couch? My basset hound has a bad back, but she enjoys lying on the couch. ?

It's a bit of a slog, so bear that in mind. When fully open, it measures 72 inches. As a result, it is dependent on the height of your couch and the amount of space available; however, it does fold up very thinly. It's only 3 1/2 inches thick, 16 inches wide, and 36 3/4 inches long. So, when it's not in use, it could be tucked away between the couch and the wall? Although the artificial turf surface provides good traction, it does collect fuzzy lint. debris of a certain type If you need to clean something, it's simple to do so with a hose. I hope this information is useful.

Is it possible to use a sedan for the backseat?

Yes, absolutely! After witnessing a good friend assist her dog into the back seat of her four-door sedan, I decided to build my own ramp. She prefers to use the smaller ramp because it is more suitable for her dog.

I'm a truck driver who wants to bring my bullmastiff along for the ride. There's no place to secure a safety strap. Is this a feasible ramp?

Once unfolded, the ramp has a rubber surface on the top and bottom back sides to prevent it from sliding on the ground or the surface it is leaning against. I've used it on the back bumper of a Jeep Wrangler and set it up so my dogs could get in through the side rear door, and it hasn't slipped. Although this is a long ramp, check to see if the angle will be too steep due to your truck's height.

Our SUV's back passenger doors work fine with the ramp
4/5

To assist my aging beagle, I needed a ramp. Our RAV4 is used to transport our Dalmatian. I'm mostly satisfied with my purchase after two weeks of use. I was desperate for a ramp that could open the rear passenger doors to less than 90 degrees. The ramp could be made to work, as shown in the photo. Because our dog is 50 pounds, I usually grip the top corner next to the seat to keep it from wobbling. (Although my wife did not do this in the photo, it worked just fine. ) ) Using treats to train our dog to use the ramp was simple (we started with a small step, then the couch, and finally the car. ) ) The ramp is strong and, as a result, quite heavy. I'm a small man with a bad back who hasn't had any issues thus far. When folded, the two hinged halves of the ramp are held together by a clip. Because of the stiffness of the hinges, I thought the clip was unnecessary and inconvenient to remove. Because I wanted to remove the clip assembly after each use, I simply unscrewed it and took it out. The ramp, on the other hand, is well-designed and functional. When I'm driving, I keep the folded ramp propped up against the driver's seat. I hope this review has alleviated some of your concerns.

I believe there is one design flaw in this otherwise excellent product
4/5

I keep it in front of the back seat because it's relatively light weight, sturdy, and thin when folded. br>In a letter to Gen 7, I suggested that the handle be mounted on the upper half of the vehicle rather than the lower half. br>It's high because I use it to load my 75 Golden into the back seat of my truck. The unit unfolds when you hold it by the handle and release the latch. The handle must then be placed on the bottom and flipped 180 degrees. It didn't make any sense to me. I'll shift my grip to the top half of my body. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> This has held up well after six months of use; the dog prefers to come down rather than up (?). )br>and the unfolding continues to be awkward. I'm guessing it was never used by the designer. br>For instance, consider the following: You take the handle in your hand and unsnap the catch while keeping it folded. One might assume that the part you're holding will go on the seat or tailgate, but that's not the case; that's the part that will end up on the ground. br>PLEASE, Gen 7, add a handle to the top half, and it will be perfect.

What a fantastic item! Exactly what I needed for my 2016 Toyota Tacoma
5/5

Although the ramp is excellent, I purchased the 71" model and later realized that I did not require such a large ramp. I just received the 42" and it's perfect for my 94-pound Yutah and the 2016 Taco. The ramp is, of course, smaller and lighter than the larger ramp, but it is just as sturdy. This is excellent. br>br> br>br>I regret not ordering this earlier. It's a fantastic product that not only Yutah, but also myself, has benefited from. No more jumping, lifting, etc. br>It's simple to use, stable, the perfect width, and it fits perfectly in the back seat of my 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Yutah breezes up and down it with ease, and she appears to enjoy it. br>I read that some people thought it was too narrow, but Yutah is a 90-pound wolamute, and it fits her perfectly. People have also complained that their dogs have fallen or jumped off the ramp, which I believe is the fault of the people, not the ramp. I'd never just set up the ramp and walk away; instead, I'd take the extra 15 seconds to double-check that the dog and the ramp are both in good working order.

It's a good product, but it has a flaw in the design
3/5

This is an excellent concept. When fully extended, this ramp is ideal for loading and unloading our large 100-pound lab into the back of our SUV. It neatly fits into the back section when folded. It appears to be well-made and durable. The issue is one of design. br>br> Because the ramp is long when unfolded, it's easier to fold it up by gripping it in the middle. The problem is that if you're not careful, the thing will slam shut, and it's heavy enough to break all of your fingers. As a result, closing it carefully is a bit awkward. br>br>Because I'm not an engineer, I'm not sure what the best solution is, but two ideas come to mind: br>br>1) Attach a handle strap to each of the four edges, giving you multiple places to grab that don't endanger your fingers. br>br>2) Redesign the edges/bottom to be channeled, so that if your finger is inside a channel and it slams shut, your finger will not be hurt, and your hand will naturally grip the channels, making this much safer.

Purchases should be avoided
3/5

It's possible to harm your vehicle! Although the product appears to be well constructed, it does have one significant flaw. When the ramp is folded for storage, the latch pin is close to the side with the safety strap, which is the side you attach to your vehicle. This pin has the potential to cause damage to your vehicle. On the opposite side of the ramp, closer to the ground, the pin should be placed. Please look at the photos.

Good traction, light weight Better than the more expensive ramps I've previously owned! I read a lot of reviews and decided on this ramp because of the size comments
5/5

The ramp's weight is My dogs are two. One senior, 55 pounds, who has hind leg mobility issues, and a healthy 4-year-old, 65 pounds. Both of them took a stroll /or ran up the ramp with no problems. The ramp is much lighter than previous ramps I've owned, but it's still strong enough for my dogs to use. Because I have a bad back, this ramp is simple for me to use. The traction is good thanks to the astro turf surface. In the future, I believe the astro turf will require some glue, but that is a simple fix. This ramp is much nicer than the previous ones I've had, and it was also less expensive. On the sides, there are also attractive handles.

My dog's back is being saved
5/5

This was purchased for a lab who has injured her back twice while jumping out of my CRV, as well as a collie who is taller than she is long - As a result, jumping in and out at that height is awkward for her. It takes some coaxing to get dogs up and down this ramp at first, but the ramp is steady - It's not wobbly, it's simple to open and close, and it's even semi-one-handed. I'm left-handed because I'm using the other hand to keep the dogs from jumping too soon before I set up the ramp, and the turf keeps them from slipping. My husband was skeptical that the dogs would use it, but I feel like I am saving their backs even though I still have to hold their collar to get them up and down.

Excellent product! Bought 2- One is for the car, while the other is for the bed
5/5

Before we got them, we practiced, and my dog learned how to walk up the ramp by walking to the couch on a board. She walked up the ramps without hesitation when they appeared. She now despises being picked up and prefers to walk up the ramp on her own. The AstroTurf is a great non-slip surface. surface that is not skid-proof For a large or heavy dog, I would strongly recommend these.
