I bought this to use as a cat carrier on a flight. This sock suits both men and women. It is easy to put on and takes very little effort to remove. This rigid bottom allows my cat to lay flat on the base of the carrier. With this pad, I could use my carrier to its full potential. A new puppy was waiting for me when I flew to pick her up, and I had a long drive ahead of me. To be on the safe side, I needed a good pad. Although I used one of the pads in the package, there were actually two. Fit perfectly and was padded so that even proved to be more comfortable than a normal carrier. Due to the fact that the puppy never peed, I am unsure of how well the puppy would absorb, but I would assume it would be fine. It's a fairly thick piece, so it will likely hold quite a bit. I believe it would also help prevent fluid from seeping off the edges into the carrier due to the stitching on the edge.
