Questions & Answers

What is the largest diameter rod that can be inserted into the sleeve? I'm thinking of making a pvc frame. ?

If you choose a larger size, it will not fit through the sleeve! I made a pvc bed and used 1 1/4" it fit perfectly!

From outside bar to outside bar, my coolaroo bed measures 43x31. Will this replacement work in that situation?

I just put this on my frame after measuring it, and it fits perfectly!

Is the Amazon Basics elevated cooling pet bed large covered by this? Is it true that they are no longer available?

The Amazon basics elevated cooling pet bed covers are smaller than the coolaroo covers, according to my research. Because it didn't fit the Coolaroo frame, I had to return the last one.

I'm not sure what size the LARGE bed cover should be. On this page of Amazon, there are two sizes listed?

It's easier to understand if you call the two pieces that make up the cot by their manufacturer's names. The fabric measures 43'' x 31''. The frame is 51'' by 31'' and the image is 5'' by 5''. ''5'' or ''''''''''''' 5''br>The frame's rods slide through the fabric one at a time. The rods are screwed together to form a rectangle cot, which is supported by legs that raise it about 7 inches off the ground. br>I have three large scotties who stretch and rub against the mesh fabric on a daily basis. The cot is kept outside, and the frame has remained rust-free after several years of exposure to high humidity and direct sunlight. The color remained vibrant. No snags, pulls, or loose threads can be found. The fabric is thinning in the middle, and I don't want the dogs' collars, tags, or nails to get caught, possibly causing an accident. This is one of the dogs' favorite items to use in their daily routine, and it's built to last at least another year. But, because the replacement cover is so inexpensive, I didn't think twice about getting a new cover for this well-loved favorite. I'm not sure how the dogs know this is just for fun. They don't roll in the dirt; instead, they use it to eat a snack or a bone, prune themselves, and scuff their coats after bathing. They remain bug-free and clean. br>Because there are so many different measurements here, I was curious if our rulers were also written in Chinese.

With the pvc frame we made, we used this replacement cover
5/5

The cover has pockets like curtains and accepts 1" schedule 40 pvc across the four sides with pvc elbows in each corner, then cut legs length to your dog's liking and finish with end caps as feet if desired but not required. It costs a few dollars to get a 10' piece of 1" schedule 40 in HD. My irrigation tools include a pvc pipe cutter, but a hack saw or any other fine-bladed saw will suffice. Our local HD is small, so you have to order a lot of things in, so we shop with A-Plus. if at all possible, prime It's all well and good living in a small town until you go shopping. Our entire county has a population of only 40K people.

This was a huge blunder

Again. For years, our dogs have slept in coolaroo beds. I bought this new cover to replace a worn one when our dogs died, and they've changed the design of their beds since then. This new cover is not compatible with the older beds. It isn't big enough. Because all of the sizes are now different, you'd have to purchase a new coolaroo bed. Our old one, on the other hand, is in perfect condition except for the cover. As a result, the old saggy, worn cover has been reintroduced to the bed. I'm not sure why the change was made, unless it was to make more money by selling more beds instead of replacement covers. br>br>*********
br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br In the event that it occurred within a month, that is. Last night, a feral cat barged into her yard and shredded her bed. The poor puppy went out this morning and discovered a large hole in her bed, preventing her from sleeping. I grabbed the cover and began putting it on. It appeared to be more compact than the original. When I get to the last corner, I realize there's no way I'll be able to squeeze it in. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I believe this was a factory second that the warehouse was selling as new. Although there were some stitching irregularities and spots on the fabric, it should have fit. I'll be returning it. I've finally figured it out. The warehouse is not a place to buy Coolaroo products. I've had two beds with missing pieces, and now I'm stuck with a cover that won't fit. I believe it was laid on by a dog and then used when it was returned, based on Diana's sniffing.

For $10, this is a fantastic alternative

We bought our first Coolaroo (with frame) in December of 2016, and it died in February of 2020, so it lasted just over three years, and we expect the new cover to last just as long. When Dog saw me dismantling his bed and removing the new cover from its packaging, he realized it was a very special day. I compared the new cover to the old one, and it appears to be made of the same exact material as the old one, indicating that no different / less expensive material was used three years later, which I greatly appreciate. The only thing that set them apart was the sewn-on tag. The slogan on the original tag was "COOLAROO Made for Life," but the new one simply says "COOLAROO. " I only mention this because, despite the fact that the product failed to live up to its original slogan, three years of daily use was a pretty good run! br>br>Instructions for putting it together: After you've installed this replacement and are ready to reassemble the frame, proceed with caution - Because the tension of the new cover will be extremely tight, you'll want to assemble it and get all four bolts inserted with 2-inches of space between them. 3 threads in each hole until you begin to tighten them; otherwise, you risk stripping threads. br>br>In case anyone is curious, the replacement cover I got was made in China.

Is it any good compared to the Orange one? Maybe! First and foremost, I'd like to express my admiration for Coolaroo's products
5/5

One of the best purchases I've ever made for my pet was their elevated pet bed. She loves being outside and laying out in the sun even when it's the hottest part of the day! When she's outside, I like that she doesn't have to lay on the hot concrete. br>br>I've bought the Orange or terra cotta color (if you will) from the beginning, and it usually lasts her about a month before I see holes in it from her chewing on her nails and footpads. br>br>Right now, this new green one has been outside for two months, and she's been using it on a daily basis. So far, there hasn't been a single flaw! br>br>I'm not sure if this one is simply more durable or if she has decided not to chew on her beds any longer. It's also possible that she isn't drawn to the color, which prevents her from focusing on it. In any case, it's a very long-lasting product, and I'll keep buying them as long as my dog is alive!.

The size of the replacement covers is insufficient
3/5

These beds are very popular among my dogs and I, but they do not last very long. This would not be a problem if the replacement covers were available, but putting them together with the originals is nearly impossible. The new covers are too tight to fit without more force than I have, and this is the second time this has happened to me. My man's manly muscles were taken away by the last one. I'm so frustrated with this one right now that I just want to give up.

With a PVC frame made by yourself, this is ideal
5/5

The medium was the perfect size for our ten-year-old beagle/basset mix, and she immediately took to it! This is a picture of her shortly after we placed it on the floor for her to try. br>br>For around $15, we built our own frame out of 1" schedule 40 PVC. We were concerned that an 8" height (the size of the metal frame) would be too high for our elderly lady, but she barely sags to the floor with this one, which is only 4" high. I'm sure it'll stretch out over time and need to be heightened, but for now, she'll be able to get in with the lower height. br>br>It also works well as a cot for our two-year-old son. We may need to get him a bigger size so they don't have to share!.

Finally, a place to sleep that will last
5/5

Where have these beds been for the last ten years? With my two male Dachshunds (twins), it had previously been impossible to make a bed last longer than a month. Regardless of the material, how it was made, or who made it, the ripped and shredded bed had become a fixture in my home. I was considering letting them sleep on the floor until I heard about this bed. Someone must be keeping an eye on us because no more beds have been put to rest since we got one, despite their best efforts. The bed's material, let alone the metal legs, is far too strong for them. They've given up their bed war and are now enjoying it. Any mess on the bed can be easily cleaned up, so it's a win-win situation for us. br>We recently received a replacement cover (it only took us 30 seconds to get the legs into the new cover) and voila, a brand new bed was born.
