The coolaroo dog bed cot LARGE size measures 42 1/2 inches long, 31 1/2 inches wide, and those legs stick out and curve down about 4 inches outward when you try to move it, so you'll have to retighten the screws when you move it. I believe the Large cot can accommodate a dog up to the size of a German Shepard. They even have a picture of a German shepard sleeping on one. They may not be able to fit in it if they are larger than that breed of dog.
These beds will be chewed up by our labs, whom we raise. You might be able to get away with it after they've been around for about a year. We've also draped a blanket over the bed, which appears to be deterring them from wrecking it. You could also keep the bed away from your dog during the day (when they are more likely to become bored and eat it) and only allow him to use it at night. Our labs are all over a year old now, and all five of them adore these beds.
Maggie is my Rottie, and she's two years old. She is approximately 90 pounds in weight. 95lbs. She has a strong chewing habit, but she does not chew on her bed. Nothing is easy for her to chew because of the angles, so that's not an issue. She scratches her cover a lot and has done so for the past year without causing any damage. She, on the other hand, becomes enthralled and leaps onto it, slamming it against the wall. She's only just begun bending the corner supports. As a result, I'm getting a new one. It's impossible to beat at $28/$30! Her Coolaroo is one of her favorite things in the world. Oh, and it keeps her off the furniture of her humans. I believe it's because it's on a higher level. This is a bed that we absolutely adore.

My Sibe and Aussie each have their own medium cot. Although we have a memory foam dog bed, both of our dogs prefer to sleep on the ground - After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned that they would be difficult to assemble. They were ridiculously simple, so perhaps they've improved their design since the last review. My Aussie Tundra was initially terrified of it, but once I covered it with a blanket, she jumped right in. She wouldn't touch it after I removed the blanket. My Husky, on the other hand, went crazy for it right away and didn't need any coaxing. After a few weeks, let's go back to the beginning. They've taken a lot of abuse so far. The bed is frequently used as a "base," as well as a bed and a step stool. My Sib couldn't stretch out enough in the medium, so I bought a large. One thing that would be beneficial is if the information on Amazon matched what was on the box. The medium cots are recommended for dogs up to the size of cocker spaniels, according to the box. I was put off by one reviewer's claim that their 100-pound German Shepherd fit on the large; I have a 50-pound Sibe and a 45-pound Aussie, so I assumed the large would be excessive. The medium size is for a dog no bigger than a Spaniel, while the large size is for retrievers, dalmations, and Siberian huskies, among other breeds.
They're a hit with dogs! I bought my first Coolaroo Elevated Dog Bed for my 50 pound Soft Coated Wheaten (Medium size) over 6 years ago. This bed has been around for a long time. I'm so impressed that I'm going to buy two more for my two dogs. br>br>First and foremost, I'd like to point out that I live in sunny Arizona, where most things do not last in the hot, dry climate. This bed has COMPLETELY STOOD UP TO THE LONG-TERM EXPECTATIONS. I've attached some photos of my old bed versus the new one as a comparison. I've been blown away and surprised by how well the material has held up over the last six years. It's sagging and rusting a little, but it's held up for 6 years in the rain and heat! He uses it as a step up to his dog door (which he runs in and out of) and there are no rips from dog nails on it. br>br>My dog enjoys lying in this bed because it keeps him off the hot ground and allows air to circulate above and below him. He enjoys it even more on colder evenings when the wind blows. br>br>I would highly recommend this product and give it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating! Our four beds are shared by three pigs and three dogs. Normally, two pigs share a single bed. They are incredibly popular! The material was pierced by a jagged hoof. We couldn't bring up the fact that she's a tad overweight with her. It's our fault, but new covers are only $9! Love!.
Within a week, I was out of business. Since my last order, these have been reduced in price. Plastic connectors are now used to join the frames together. After only a week, one of the connectors failed. As a result, the bed is no longer useful. br>br>I have several of these, and the frames were all metal before this last one, and they never gave me any trouble.
At night, my dog is franticly pacing around. Non stop. Whatever the case may be. Three bike rides, a hike, and a six-hour doggie daycare session? But for some reason, I keep buying them. I'm not sure what to say. He's just too cute for words. br>br>This bed was on sale for Black Friday, and I thought to myself, "Hey, a dog bed that the roombas can get under. " That's a really cool idea. He'll most likely be afraid of it, but what the hell. Let's see if we can get it to work. I was able to sit on my couch with my husband without interruption for the first time in a long time. For the past five days, there has been no fighting. When I walk into the living room, he leaps excitedly onto the bed. I threw a pillow on top of it, and now it's all messed up. He wants nothing more than to lie down. He climbs into that bed and keels over like he's spent the entire day herding cattle (as most cattle dogs do). Slacker. ) and drifts off to sleep with a sigh of relief. br>br>At 9 a. m. the other day, someone knocked on our door. 30 o'clock at night Normally, he'd start screaming bloody murder and frantically hip-hop as if he'd been shot. slamming the door in an attempt to frighten this improbable intruder away He simply raised his head, let out a worried whine, and decided it wasn't worth leaving his new Coolaroo pet bed. br>br>I'm not sure how a pet cot with a metal frame could be so comfortable. It could be made of magic, I believe. I'll have to put money aside for another one for the opposite side of the house.
I have golden retrievers and have bought several of these beds in recent years. The bed is fine, but the cover isn't as durable as I'd like; if a ball gets stuck underneath the bed, the dog can see it from the top because the cover is mesh and somewhat see-through. through. In their attempt to retrieve the ball, my dogs scratch the cover, eventually causing small holes. Small holes quickly become larger holes! I've spent a lot of money on these replacement covers. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the green cover appears to be slightly more durable than the terra cotta one, but it's still insufficient. Aside from that, I really like this bed because it has no pressure points. br>br>A couple of other things to consider - Get rid of the tag! The first thing the dog chews is the label on the top of the bed! Also, if you leave the bed outside, especially if you hose it off on a regular basis, the screws will rust, so I had to order new screws from Coolaroo every time I changed the covers. On Amazon, I recently discovered a product called Evapo- Rust, which is a miracle worker! Simply soak the screws and bars in this solution, and the rust will vanish as if by magic!.
