Yes! The paw wax acts as a barrier between the skin and hot (or cold) surfaces. Unfortunately, as my best friend grows older, he is becoming more sensitive to the gravel and terrain at our house. My friend told me about using wax to help him with his paws. I did a lot of research and came across this product, which I chose because of its ingredients, which are free of chemicals and junk. Oh, what a difference. br>br>Oh, my world, what a difference. I applied some of this to all of his paws, making sure to get in between his toes as directed, and he's as happy as a puppy again. I'm not sure what magic is inside, but whatever it is, it's shielding his paws from the rough ground and providing an extra layer of padding. br>br>I can't say enough good things about this product. I was skeptical that it would make a difference because he is so old, but it worked like a charm. When I take him out again and he isn't jumping for joy all over the house, I'll try to update this post with some pictures.
This is her cup of tea. My dog tries to lick this stuff all the time, but she doesn't like it as much once I smear it on her paws. The faint vanilla aroma appeals to her. I like how it doesn't have a strong scent, but rather a subtle one. It has a slight vanilla flavor to it, which I really enjoy. My dog simply leans against me while I massage this stuff into her paw pads until all four paws are covered, but she despises it on her nose. This paw wax is a must-have for me. br>5/5 for scent; it's pleasant but not overpowering. br>5/5 for texture because it has a lot of fatty oils and a healthy list of ingredients that your dog can eat in small amounts if they lick their paws. For doggie paws, this is a nice and hydrating treat. br>5/5 for a good protective layer to wear before going for a walk. (It's best to hydrate paws before a walk and wear booties [if your dog can tolerate them]) VERY hydrating.
My dog almost ate her feet off after I put this on her paws. There was a lot of itching and redness as a result of it. I was sick to my stomach! This is something I will never do again.
It's not difficult to get out of the jar, and it melts quickly on your fingers and while applying it. It's on the dogs' pads, elbows, and noses, among other places. I like to put it on their noses because they want to lick it. They don't appear to be interested in licking it off their shoes. Our older GSD pads have a puppy new look to them! He doesn't mind if I put it on his feet, despite the fact that he despises having anything touched or placed on his feet. This wax appears to perform as expected, and I will purchase it again if necessary.
I'd never tried paw cream before, but based on the reviews and the price, I decided to give it a try, and it's fantastic! When it's hot outside, we've taken our little guy on sand and asphalt with no problems. His paws are the softest they've ever been, and we can tell when we forget to wear it (his paws become extremely rough). We simply lift a paw and place it in the can, rotate the can for a brief moment, and we're finished. It's that simple.
Because he has dry, cracked paws, he struggles on hot summer roads. I rubbed his paws in the tin, received a puzzled look, and then walked away. I was surprised at how soft it made his paws and how well it stayed on for the duration of the walk, making it a more pleasant experience for him. I'll test it again soon, but so far it looks great and the tin appears to be indestructible!.
There aren't any in this. My dog's paw pads have gone from grey and dry to black and soft after rubbing this wax into them several times a week. It has a pleasant, subtle aroma that induces sleep in my dog. I even use it on my cuticles and knuckles on occasion, proving that it is safe for humans.
I liked it at first because it was the perfect size for traveling (we travel a lot and one day it's snowing, the next it's desert). It was extremely simple to apply and went on smoothly with no issues, assisting in the healing of my pets' pads. My dog, however, got a kick out of it and immediately began licking her paws. She would look at me as if I was giving her a treat every time I brought it out. Because of the licking, we had to make her paws completely dry again. I'd use it even if she didn't like it as a snack because it helped! Some waxes have a strong scent, but this one smelled exactly like the lotion I use every day. However, if your dog doesn't have the munchies like mine, it's a fantastic product!.
