Unlike other buyers, I did not purchase this item to protect my dog's paws from sand or spurs; instead, I am training a service dog and am using the paw wax to keep her paws from sliding on slick polished floors. It performs admirably in this capacity.
Our cat enjoys being outside, but in the winter, his paws become clogged and dry. In just two days, the Paw Wax had resolved the problem. Although I'm not sure if it works on the dogs because they lick it off right away, it does leave my hands feeling very soft. They adore the attention as well. Their paws aren't burning on the hot Florida pavement and sand, which I've noticed.
The wax is consistent and packaged nicely. The paws of the pet are protected and moisturized. I'd purchase it again.
It softens rough paws and keeps them in place for a long time.
