I read a lot of reviews about dog paw pad protection balms and decided to buy the Saker after reading them. Housebreaking a puppy is obviously a big deal, and when you add in the fact that you're doing it in the dead of winter, it's a daunting task. Our second Boston Terrier, Nellie, was tragically killed in a car accident the weekend after Thanksgiving. The following week, fate led us to meet a new member of our family. At the age of six weeks, Walter, our third Boston, arrived with us. I didn't want to go outside to use the restroom again after going through the ordeal with Nellie. I considered using dog booties at first, but decided against it because the vast majority of the time, the dogs do not enjoy wearing them. br>br>I read a lot of reviews before deciding on the Saker, as I had done before. It has no odor and is easy to apply to the paw pads. The true test of its effectiveness came when we had nearly two feet of snow on the ground (if you're concerned, I shovel paths for our three dogs. ) However, we were hit by an Arctic front. Walter was dressed in three layers and slathered in Saker paw balm. When it was 1 below zero, he willingly walked outside on the snow and ice. br>br>I decided to order another Saker balm because I was so pleased with the first. Not only for our Boston, but also for a cross between an Australian Shepard and a Gordon Setter. We have ten acres on which we camp, and our trailers are set up on gravel. Nuka enjoys fetching, but only on the gravel. Because her paws become sore and irritated as a result of this, we will continue to use the Saker throughout the summer. Unfortunately, my second order did not arrive with the rest of the items I had ordered. Because Amazon was out of stock, I needed to request a refund. (Today's Amazon customer service representative was extremely helpful. ) )br>br>To my surprise, Saker contacted me today, inquiring about the reason for my refund request. What had happened was explained to me. They then offered to send me a replacement as soon as one became available. Now that's what I'm talking about when it comes to customer service!!.
is a company that is better than the competition. AMAZING! Must buy! My dog detested the other well-known brand available on this site. He would pull away from it as if it were burning or stinging him every time I placed it on his paws. This product does not cause me that problem because it does not contain tea tree oil, which is the difference, in my opinion. This is a brand that my dog enjoys. While I rub on, I'll just sit there calmly. My lab's paw pads were extremely rough and cracked, so he didn't pull away like he did with the other brand. After only ONE application, I noticed a difference- His paws had improved already! This is something I'll keep buying. This is the only balm I have. Your baby will be cared for by a reputable company. I'm relieved that I've finally discovered something that works. I would strongly suggest it.
This, on the other hand, DOES WORK! We hike a lot, and my dog's paws are naturally dry and brittle. This isn't a good combination, as it causes her pads to crack and rip. I noticed a significant difference after a few days of using this balm religiously. Her pads had become softer, less cracked, and much more supple. She seemed to have a lot more fun rock scrambling and going on longer hikes, and she didn't lick her paws as much afterward; in fact, she didn't lick the paw balm off right away, which is amazing to me because this dog licks everything! The balm has a natural wax scent that isn't overpowering, but it doesn't seem to pique her interest, which I appreciate because it stays on and absorbs quickly. Overall, if you're on the fence about doing something, just do it! This balm is fantastic, and I'll never hike without it in my pack again.
This paw balm is absolutely wonderful! Instead of serving the product in a dish, I like the idea of putting it in a tube like a push-up pop. It simplifies the application process significantly! When I try to apply regular balm to my pups, they usually fight me, but with this stuff, they practically lay down. Because we do a lot of walking, mushing, and adventuring with the dogs, this will undoubtedly be my go-to balm.
Amazing. When my dogs smell essential oils, which are present in the majority of these paw balms (even those that claim to be fragrance-free), they flee. I like that this product contains only 5 ingredients and has no scent. Application is a breeze with the balm tube. I also like that wax, rather than oils or petroleum jelly, is used as the foundation because it appears to protect their paws longer. It comes highly recommended!.
It's like a giant lip gloss to apply, and it doesn't leave any residue on my fingers or palms.
br>As soon as you apply it, you'll notice a difference. It doesn't leave any residue on the floor and is extremely moisturizing! br>br>If your dog is anything like mine and likes to paw at you, resulting in scratches, this will help to smooth out those rough paws!.
I've noticed a significant difference in her pads' appearance as well as their feel. The balm has a pleasant scent and comes in a biodegradable package. Overall, a fantastic item!.
