I'm the crazy cat lady, and I'm here to help. There are three adult cats and six kittens in my household right now. My tenacious 8-week-old orange female cat ripped one string and broke a pole in less than two minutes. If you've ever had an orange female, you know they're little powerhouses, so I was expecting something like this to happen. I played with the baby calico kittens on the other pole, who are a little gentler, for about a week before they managed to pull the string off the pole. For a while, they were perplexed by the USB fish, and they just sat and stared at it. My long-haired black kitten eventually went over and sat on it, hugging it and falling asleep. When it's turned off, they have a lot more fun wrestling with it. I still think the package as a whole was worth it because you get so many small attachments. I can play with them for hours if I use regular string and a stick. The feather bundles were enjoyed by one of my adult cats as well. If you purchase it, be aware that the poles will not last long.
I originally purchased this for the fish because I wanted more interactive toys for my cat to play with on his own. I was also pleased with the wands and the fact that there was such a wide range of them. My cat appears to be afraid of fish, and unless it is hidden beneath something, he does not seem to enjoy it. He went over to whack it a couple of times, but then walked away without actually playing with it. I was initially concerned about the wand toys, which have these small metal pieces that appear to be jagged where the toys are changed out. I wrapped some tape around it because I didn't want to risk them scraping his mouth because he likes to go for strings on occasion. He was initially afraid of the wand toys, so I put them away for a while, but I eventually gave them another chance, and they are now among his favorite toys. Let's take a look at the smaller toys now. I enjoy the variety, and I know that no two cats are alike. The crinkly toy and the plastic ball with the bell in it have been his favorites thus far. He's played with the other toys before, but only for a short time. My cat is picky and can be difficult to please, so I'm glad I bought this pack so I could learn more about what he likes and doesn't like, and the price is unbeatable!.
This was purchased solely for my kitten (5 years old). When I'm busy and can't move her toys around for her (she's 5 months old), she'll have something to do. br>br>She looked at the fish, attacked it for about 10 seconds, then walked away, refusing to touch it unless I remove the moving part (which is easily removed and re-installed). I have to drag it around on the fishing pole that came with it, of course. br>br>I'd return it if I could find all of the original pieces. However, she conceals many of the minor details. When I'm playing with her, she loves the toys, but she only touches them if I leave them dangling or move them herself.
Pro: Overall, it's a great deal. The fish is well-made, and after charging, it is both entertaining and durable enough to withstand my cat's torment. Except for the cat wands and worms, all of the other toys are entertaining.
Con: The clips from the two cat wands are a waste of time. Instead of using lobster clips, I tied the worms around it because the clips were so bad they couldn't be opened. Keep an eye out for the worms' eyes. The ones I have aren't particularly well-versed in the subject. I cut them off to keep them from being swallowed by my cat.
For the price, I believe the electronic fish and toys are adorable. Their cat fishing pole toy, on the other hand, is not one of my favorites. The string gets tangled in the feather all the time. Another brand that has a more durable clip on the end for attaching feathers and clear fishing wire/string is my preference. The black cord is too stretchy to be useful. This is the last time I'll buy fishing pole toys from this vendor.
ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE HUGE HITS WITH THE KITTY! She adores them all, especially the wand toy, which has an elastic string that bounces! It's a laugh a minute! When I put catnip in the fish, my kitten went crazy! I would strongly advise you to do so!.
My dude enjoys the fast action and strong spine of this cat fishing rod, which comes with a legitimate fishing swivel on the end of the line, ready to clip on the "bait" of your choice. br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!.
Unfortunately, the wand's lock has fairly sharp edges, making it unsafe for cats. Still, I'm going to figure out how to attach teaser replacements to other wands. My cat enjoys playing with the floppy fish.
