However, I was OVERJOYED with the product, as I recently transported my cat (who is used to traveling) from DC to Afghanistan via Istanbul for an 11-hour layover. I bought these for her to use while we were at the hotel on "our break. " They're essentially made out of a sturdy paper bag with a lining. br>br> This makes them extremely light, and the fanning structure means they take up almost no space in a backpack or other carrying case. I'm not sure if you can use them for up to a week, but we did use one at the house for about two days before we left so kitty would recognize it as a litterbox and become accustomed to it. She didn't have any issues, and the litterbox didn't leak in any way. (Just in case, I laid a towel on the carpet, but it was dry! When I leave with her again, I'll bring an extra, but I'll definitely be purchasing these in the future. They're a little pricey, but they're well worth it for travel! br>br>I'm not sure I'd use these (unaltered) for really big cats. Mine weighed around 11 pounds (she's a healthy weight but has a larger build) and fit perfectly in it. I believe that a chubby or larger cat would have some difficulty passing through the hole. If that's the case, I'd suggest cutting off the top so they can just walk in.
SAVING MONEY IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO! GROCERY SACK MADE OF PAPER! Nothing but a flimsy paper grocery sack folded into an accordion! There was no waterproofing or coating to absorb the waste, so the "BAD" only lasted about two hours before it began to fall apart; the cat hadn't even used the "BAG" as a litter box when the seams began to split. THIS IS A SCAM, SAVE YOUR MONEY!.
These disposable litter boxes were purchased for a five-day, 1500-mile drive to our new home with my two cats. Each night, I made a new one in the hotel bathroom, and each morning, I tossed it in a large trash bag. Is there anything more straightforward? I kept using them in our new home while confining the cats to one room until they adjusted to their new surroundings. The only caveats I'd add are (1) to remember that they're made of paper and should be treated as such; and (2) to keep in mind that they're fragile. (In the process of opening it, I tore the first one. ) Only the handle hole was damaged, so it was still usable. ) and (2) it would be nice to have some sort of tray underneath in case of a soak through, though I think having enough litter in the box would also prevent that- You should be fine if you learn from my mistakes.
This litter box worked well for a short trip (3 days) with our cat, and I believe she appreciated the privacy it provided over disposable litter boxes without lids, as well as the fact that litter didn't spill everywhere. But it was flimsy, difficult to clean (it was difficult to reach inside and see anything clearly), and by the time we got home, it was falling apart. Still, it served its purpose, but I think next time I'd get something with a firmer foundation (I was afraid it would leak, so I put it on top of a large plastic lid for support) and that my cat wouldn't be able to destroy so easily (she jumped on top of it at one point, crushing it temporarily.

I was surprised by this item. I have a 19-pound, muscle-bound cat. It was possibly half bob cat, and it was able to withstand his scratching a hole in china and ammonia-powered spray. Even better, it reduced odor and was simple to dispose of. The only problem was that he was too big to fit through the hole, so I had to rip into the handle to make it bigger. It was still standing after a week and had not leaked once. This purchase made me very happy, and I will definitely buy more if the need arises. This is fantastic!.
It's fantastic. Thankfully, I had read the other glue reviews. The accordion folds were gently opened, and voila! There was some separation, but I really needed portable/disposable litter boxes to transport my cat from Chicago to Boise (via Milwaukee airport). The litter boxes are small enough to be carried in a backpack. case, as well as two one-bedroom apartments Litter in gallon Ziploc bags. My 7 a. m. flight was canceled, and I was rescheduled for 5 p. m. I was fortunate in that I had packed extra boxes. I set one up at home to familiarize Pandorah with the product, and she and I camped in a bathroom stall during the flight delay, where she did use the litter box and was able to be outside of her carrier (against Milwaukee airport rules) to pass the time. Note that we did not use the pet area because it was sub-par. Pandorah is an indoor cat and has been since she was a kitten. The disposable box's floor can leak unless you fill it with several inches of litter. The boxes were adequate for our "one-time" in-transit needs. The litter box can be seen on the far right of the photograph.
I bought these to help with a cross-country trip. Our two cats and I are moving to the country. I had never traveled with cats before and had no idea what kind of equipment they would require. These are made of thin paper that has been glued together in some way. One of the ten I ordered disintegrated before I could even unfold it. br>Our cats aren't used to using covered boxes, but they did fine with these; I set up a new one each night and then threw everything away the next morning. Because they're so light, I kept a flat cardboard underneath them. br>Overall, a fantastic travel/temp solution that I will use again when we relocate.
